Photo Album Presentation

I created a photo album presentation, with sounds from music on my pc, adjusted all the settings and it still doesn't seem to want to advance to the next slide, What am I doing wrong here? Does anyone out there know the correct setting to use, please I desparately need your help!!

Open your presentation.Go to the Slideshow menu.
Click Slide Transition. You will find lot of options on the right side of the document. There you will find "Automatically after" checkbox. Uncheck the "On mouse click" checkbox.Check the "Automatically after" checkbox and specify the time in "minutes:seconds" format.

I think this will solve your problem.

I'm applying for a mega-intense art program, and have to compile a portfolio. I have the pieces I want to include, but wanted some suggestions of how I should compile it. I wanted to do a classic binder/photo album presentation. One thing I wasn't sure of, was what to do with the pieces I need to photograph. Print them in standard photo size? A size or two larger? Keep standard photo size bit include multiple photos to show certain details and such?

Any advice would be welcome! As well as any other suggestions.

print photos in 8 x10 format. it is the best size to look at and prove you to a good steady picture. it is also a perfect size for a portfolio binder.

Got lots of old family photos to organize. What are some ways to organize- by chronology, by persons, by size? I want to organize for archiving, not for presentation in scrapbooks or albums. How do museums and libraries do it? Talking about physical prints, not digital pictures.

I actually teach people how to organize their photos in photo safe boxes with sort boxes within the photo box.

I recommend sorting by several categories - If the photo is primarily one person put it in their box, If the photo is a group of family, have a box for that family. If the photo is of a particular event regardless of who is in it, I would have a box for that event ie. christening, birthday party etc.

I would absolutely use a photo labeling pencil to preserve where the photo was taken, who is in the photo and when it was taken. This ensures that if you are not there to tell the story or you forget, the label is there to assist.

I am planning on setting up appointments at Pratt and SVA for a portfolio review over the summer. I will be a senior next school year. I am a junior right now.

How should I present my work in a portfolio? Should I use a big photo album, a self-bound book?

How many pieces should I put in? I do black and white traditional photography and also color.

I am concerned with the presentation because I don't know what kind of book I need to have it in.

i don't think it really matters what you have it in. the self bound book seem like an interesting idea. if you know how to do that. i don't know if this will work, but maybe you could take a picture of all your art wok, and put them on a slideshow. I would put as much of your work as possible in, just don't put any bad pictures in it. maybe you could somehow make your own photo album. you can buy those sheets in the store, the ones you actually put the pictures in, you can probably get them online too. and you can make your own cover, and have a lot of your pictures on the front. i would use just the black and white on the front, it would look really cool. then you could bind it all together somehow. it would creative, and it would definitely show your personality. i don't know. hopefully i helped ya out. =D

Since I love hanging around the computer a lot (I am the friend who fixes everybody's computer problems), a friend advised me that I should offer my services to digitalize old photos. Lets say they give me a honeymoon photo album, I scan them and put them in a nice CD or I can make a presentation (great annniversary or birthday gift) Is this a good idea? Is there anything else I could do with this? I need to earn more money.. :(

Its not a bad idea but lots of people do this and most do it for free as most people have the gear to do it now... Mind you no harm in getting a few extra quid / dollars if someone will pay you to do it.
