Photo Album Size

Just wanted to resize my pictures to print - does anyone know the right measurements ?

I would think 3x5 is probably standard, but most printers and/or picture printing software will give you the option of what size to print your picture. I would not change the properties. Keep the picture in its original size, pixel and otherwise. Let the software resize it for printing. ALWAYS retain the original.

I need to know if you can specifically zoom-in on a photo to a specific size besides the preset ones.

Unfortunately, no. I also have tried but with no luck.

I have a ton of old photos (and other stuff like diplomas, etc). Is there an album, or a sleet of insertible (sp?) sheets, to accomodate this?

It seems like you have some very precious photos and memorabilia. I wouldn't recommend using the peel back and stick albums as they are not photo safe and can damage your photos in the long run. I looked back at one I did only 5 years ago and the photos have already started to yellow. A Shame!

For pieces that are all different sizes, I would recommend using photo safe and acid free scrapbooking materials. You do not have to go crazy with embellishments but this process will allow you the freedom to put as many or few photos/memorabilia on one page. You can also add pages to the album to make sure everything fits into one album.

I bought a nice leather (or leathery looking) photo album on clearance a while back. I thought I could pick up any photo page refills at an office supply store and be done with it, but this album is slightly smaller than the average album. In order to hold 40 photos I would be paying over 15$. The album cost only 3$ ( guess it was on clearance because it had no pages inside). I know these page refills are not terribly expensive, except that all the ones I come across on the internet are too big. The side of the page is about 9x11 and the pages will stick out. I need some approx 7.5 - 8" by 10.5 - 11" tops. It's designed to hold 5x7s, but I would be just as happy with 4x6s. Can anyone help me? If what I'm asking for doesn't exist outside the ones specifically meant for this album,, do you have any ideas on what else I could use it for? It's very well made and will look great on a bookshelf and I wanted to fill it with something of some importance. Thanks.

I would try ebay to see if you can find them at a better price. If not, you can purchase scrapbook paper (which is very cheap) and cut them down to the size you need. You can use a craft cutter to get a straight line, then use a hole punch and insert them.

You can then attach pictures by using tape or scrapbook stickers.

I use a digital camera to take photos. I like to print the best ones out and keep them in an album. But the size ratio of digital photos is different to the old film camera. I can find the standard (old) 6x4 inch and 7x5 inch format, but my prints are either 5x3.75 inch or 6x4.5 inch. I could resize them, but want to keep the photos asI have taken them. Where can I buy an album to fit them?

I too have found it very difficult to get an album set up for the 6x4.5 size. 6x4 is still the standard.

Most of the photo printing shops automatically crop off 1/4 in. on each side of the long edge to give 6x4 prints (whether you like it or not!).

Right now I have my camera set for 3:2 aspect ratio, so I frame and get 6x4's. At least the print shop will not crop off somebody's head!

The only other solution I found was to get an album with single large pages, then put a couple of 6x4.5's together on each page.
