Polaroid Picture Album

I have a bunch of old poloroid pictures sitting in a file drawer I was thinking of putting them in a picture album, but do they have to be treated special as they are 30+ years old.. thanks

Store them in acid-free sleeves. You can make a photo album in a binder that way. Do not use the kind of photo album that has the "magnetic pages", with the film that goes over the photos. That is the worst kind, and it will ruin your pictures very fast.

Another thing you can do is get them scanned to copies, and put the copies in any photo album you like. Then store the originals in acid free boxes, in a closet with low humidity and no temperature extremes. Never store photos in a basement, attic or garage.

That is just a basic white border around the photo, with some extra on the bottom. Very simple to actually do in PS, but somewhat hard to explain. You could also add some tinting or whatever to the frame.

You can go to Image-Canvas Size-Relative and add the border amounts, or create the frame from a new document and then drop the photo into it... (this procedure will give you more ability to "play" with the border look.

can i scan a polaroid picture?

I took a polaroid picture of myself, its my dearest possession for now, i heard that polaroid pictures fade as the time passes. is this right?

Please can you show me the ways i can preserve this image of my, should i scan it and save it in my coumputer.

can i keep it in my photo Album with out damaging it.

I've heard Polaroid photos do fade over time, but I found this blurb that says they don't:
According to the American National StandardŐs Institute, it takes more one than 100 years for a Polaroid photo to fade, especially if properly stored in an album. Additionally, Polaroid photos do not fade any faster than other photography mediums. In fact, each Polaroid photo has a built-in protective polyester outer layer, so fingerprints can easily be wiped off.


But scanning it would also be an excellent idea to save it forever as a digital file that will never fade away..just make sure to back it up on a cd or something. You could even take a disc to Walmart or CVS and print it out again if you wanted to hang it up.

The pictire and visit was taken shortly before he died in a Plane Crash in Iowa.Does any one think the picture has any Value.It is still clear and i've kept in the Family album. I believe it was taken in 1969......
Kitten i saw Rocky at Lear Jet when he went through the Plant a Pops a old Fighter and Fan Took the Pic and gave it to me.And no i was not thinking of selling but was just curious.......

Keep it , it will become of value my husband has the book of rocky"s life history given to him by Rocky"s nephew. It now worth money.It was sighned by Rocky himself. How did you come by the picture? Gon't let it go for any price.

you select a few pictures to place in border, scatter them over each other, then place an image over the top border to make appear as though the are jumping or extending out from the photo frame,a program with layers like photoshop or paintshop pro would edit best, but you could try programs like photofiltre,
