Purple Photo Album

I want to paint my bare white walls with a color that will go with the carpet...I'm stumped and need some help from anyone that is willing to comment. This is for our bedroom, the carpet is a pinkish/purple with a little green and off shades of red - I took a picture and have uploaded it to show you guys for help. To avoid becoming loud or overpowering, I'd suggest keeping your walls fairly light and neutral, using an antique white or a very pale shade of one of the top 2 predominant colors in the carpet, and then accenting the room by use of one or both of these methods:

1. Make 1 wall an accent wall; covering with a nice companion wallpaper, or faux-finished in a blend of 3 or 4 shades of the dominant color.

2. Consider painting the room's trim. If you go a bit bolder with your wall color, white trim will set it off, especially adding something like a white crown moulding with a stripe of the main color applied to one of the narrow facets.

For the most part, you'll want to try and keep whatever you do fairly simple, and keep any bold accents restricted to things like a single bright-color chair, artworks or their frames, area rugs, or a bedding ensemble.

You don't look scary, the gray contacts just look out of place. Too light compared to your skin tone and hair color. A darker color contact would work better, like maybe brown, hazel or green.

Sometimes my eyes are gray then they're blue or even purple. Why? In dim lighting, they look gray. In the light, they're blue or purple. What color do you think they are? Why do they change color when there's better light? The blue eyes photo was taken inside my house. The purple eyes photo was taken outside in the sunlight.

No, it's not a rare photo. My eyes do that in pretty much any picture where nothing is blocking the sunlight from hitting them.

Ashlee, there are more than 2 people who have purple eyes in the world. Albinos are prone to have purple eyes and sometimes they just happen. There are several cases in the world. My cousin's friend had purple eyes. There's a Chinese model named Connie Chiu who has purple eyes. Liz Taylor has purple eyes. Those are three people I know of so there are more than 2.

I have a purple leaf sand cherry that has been healthy for the 2 years it's been planted, but developed an issue this summer. Many of the leaves have light brown spots covering a majority of the surface. I have looked for aphids and found none. Same for other pests. Any idea what time of day the damage is done and look for strange bugs hanging around looking fat? The problem with that line of reasoning leaves out the possibility they are predictor bugs eating those dining at your house. If you live in the east coast it could be a leaf miner, if you're on the west or south it think it could be snail or slugs. I like to identify the pest quick so I don't have to nuke the entire neighborhood. Take a piece into the County Agent and find out for real.RScott

Bedspread has light purple and tan also. Trim is a light color wood. Will be getting all new furniture. For those who already responded to my question thank you. I reposted this with a pic. Thanks

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes.
