Suede Photo Album

I bought a beautiful pale green suede photo album today. It was really cheap and I was pleased with the bargain I found! Then I tried to take the sticker off the front of it and the suede under the sticker is just slightly sticky. It's not enough for paper or anything to stick to, but Im afraid over time dirt and dust will stick to it leaving a nice big square of brown on the stupid thing. Is there anything I can do about this? Im not totally sure it's suede. It's a very soft material. It sure looks and feels like suede. HELP! Im SO disappointed.

I had a similar problem a while back and dont use anything liquid on it it will ruin the suede. I finally got the sticky stuff up by rolling dried oatmeal and rice grains over it.

I gave last year a beautiful white ceramic popcorn bowl and a container of popcorn seeds at Crate and Barrel. They were a hit and it was $12 total for everything! Crate and Barrel even boxed it so nice for me too!

It is a photo album cover I am trying to get rid of the permanent glue.

This happened to my brand new suede recliner chair, which was a cream color :( My husband went to the paint store ( The one he works in..) and got some Adhesive remover! He put some on a cloth a lightly rubbed. It came out very easily. Although there is a SLIGHT, and I do mean slight texture difference (a little rougher) It worked beautifully. I called the furniture store and they told me the only way to get it of would be to have it cut off and reapolstered (sp?) It would have cost us a fortune. So I owuld highly recommend this approach.
