Hi! Well we are finally getting around to having the album made, and we have a choice of magazine style layout where the photos are printed directly on the album pages, or regular matted style. I cant decide. What do you have and why did you choose it?
Most of our photos are photojournalistic style if that makes a difference. Few posed shots.
We also have all (hundreds) of the photos taken in high resolution on CD. This album is just part of the package, but we can print and make our own albums in the future as we like since we own all the photos.
Def. go magazine style! That's what I'm doing. I'm also doing the photo journalistic style pictures for our wedding. I hate everyone standing all posed with fake smiles. I want a real story so kudos to you!!! I just love the clean modern look of the magazine style. It's like a picture story book of your big day and IDK... I just think sometimes the matted ones, after a while, start to look kind of "messy". Mine still is going to be a hardcover though just because it keeps my pictures safe. That is what I am doing though. Do whatever you think looks best. Have you asked your photographer to show you samples of both? It always helps to see one already made in person! If I were you I'd just go with the magazine album. You already have all the images on CD full res so if later you want to make a different kind of album you can use your CD to print them and make a matted one in a new layout. Hope that helped out a little.

I was going to say definitly matted style, but since you have the photos on CD, I guess it doesn't matter. I think I would still prefer them matted, but the magazine style could be cool, too. You could always make the matted version later on, but you wouldn't be able to do the magazine style later on (at least not as easily).

i guess most wedding photographers offer that services to their clients, maybe you can try search on 88db for photo services, and maybe you can find their rates....good luck
Looking for photo album designer for wedding album - Mpix.com ...
I am looking for someone to do the layout and design of a wedding photo album. My wife and I have been married 4 years and still don't have a wedding album to show people, granted there was some massive issues with the photographer. Anyways, I am wanting to get this created for my wife for christmas. I have roughly 1500 pictures on disc's with most/all of them touched up by the original photographer. I also have a release so there is nothing to worry about on that part. I plan on using Mpix for printing my album but would entertain other solutions for the right price and quality.
I live in the OKC area and would prefer someone locally but not opposed to dealing with someone in Tulsa or even out of state if the price and quality of the work is right.
If anyone is interested I would be happy to hear from you. Our wedding pictures have been such an ordeal (can go into more details later) and would love to get this created for my wife.
