I am going to start a new hobby that is called kite aerial photography. You attach a camera to a kite, let it up about 30ft and take birds eye view pictures, I really want to do this but I don't have enough money to buy huge expensive kites. Does anyone have any tips on the subject itself or how to buy.
This is a Flickr set of some kite photography that I bookmarked,

The kite does not look incredibly expensive and he used a Canon Powershot A570is for the shots, a very cheap camera.
Here's his set up..

Goole CAT CAM and you will see that a camera can be fited to a cat. But what about a bird? It would need to be quite large and tame. Cameras are not yet small enough to fit to a pigion but that day will come soon. Meantime can I keep a pet eagle?
Professional photographers put cameras on everything. This includes birds. Many of the nature shows you watch show birds eye views and these scenes are actually cameras on some of the birds. They do studies this way. Cameras are a lot smaller than you think. It's illegal to keep an eagle or any wild bird.
I've worked with 35mm film, but never with 70mm, and am looking a job that features aerial photography using the company's large format film camera. What should I expect?
Well, a camera is a camera I will say. What the Format you speak of do is allow for better resolution. A 35 mm negative you may be able to make a nice 8x10 picture, I have done these with good results. Anything large and you tend to get a blurred image. With a 70 mm you can make posters like you see on walls and they still maintain clarity and detail.
Study about Movies and how their film works. You go to a regular Theater and watch a movie. Then go to an Imax Theater and watch a movie. Then you will see the difference between 35 mm and 70 mm.
An aerial photo flight is made with a camera having a 6 inch focal length. If you know that the absolute scale of the photo is 1:13,750 at the 2,575' elevation, what is the absolute scale at 1,500 feet.
firstly photography is meteric, so your lens is a 150mm i get that part, 1500 feet ok thats 500 meters about, scale get that bit............................2,575 elevation - dont get that is it feet again? if so then its an easy calculation.......but the first fiquires seem wrong anyway...........whats the crop factor of the sensor if digital?? or are you using 35mm film or what

Pro-View Wireless Remote Live View with 500' Distance | Digital ...
Springdale, Arkansas (PRWEB) November 5, 2009 -- Setting a new standard for photo-composition technology www.proviewsite.com . The Pro-View Wireless Remote Live View brings an innovative new remote viewing system to photographers using DSLR cameras. Photographers are now free to move from behind the confines of their cameras and confidently capture difficult shots. The Pro-View consists of a hand-held color receiver that lets you "see what the camera sees" up to 500 feet away, thanks to a small video transmission unit that slips over the eyepiece of a DSLR camera.
This novel, ground breaking tool was developed as a result of overwhelming feedback from photographers who are tired of having their composition creativity curtailed by having to place the camera where they can get behind it. The Pro-View Wireless Remote Live View empowers photographers of varying skill levels and application needs to maximize their photographic performance. Whether it's choreographing quick portrait shots or exploring masterful photographic techniques, a conventional digital SLR camera can possess a whole new level of creative control.
