Best Camera For Professional Photography

I need a digital camera hopefully one that can take multi shots ( gotta catch the kids on the go). I just dont know which brand or make is the best or well affordable..For that matter what mega pixel makes a good picture ..

If you're looking for prolevel, it's going to cost you. Look it as investing. I reccommend waiting for the Nikon D300 coming out in Nov. If $1700 is too much, plus cost of lenes and flash unit and battery pack and charger and memory card. About $3,000.

If you're looking for less expensive, but still great. Go with the Nikon D80

Look in your Sunday paper for sales ads. I love going to www.samys.com They have good info. in their stuff, manufact. rebates, and good prices.
No matter which camera, I recommend getting a Scandisk Extreme III memory card, about 2 GB.

You know almost any digital cam today works for beginning photographers, but if you want to go up a nice step; I can recommend the Canon Rebel. There are of course different models, but all offer all the features that you need.

So, look into the Rebel, and I hope it meets your needs.

There is no "best" brand.
It depends entirely on what facilities are required and personal choice.

Some swear by Nikon or Canon, some will only use Hasselblad some Toyo Large format etc etc.

Equipment depends on what type of photography you are planning on doing.

I know everyone has a preference and it also depends on how one uses a camera but just technologically speaking, what is the top, most used digital camera right now by professional wedding photographers and possibly why?

I know Canon and Nikon are the most used, I am looking for an answer with a specific model. Like Nikon D3 or something like that. Something used by professional wedding photographers

Personally, I use Canon 40D and 5DMkII. Its Canon V Nikon really (a bit like PC V Mac). Both will get the job done and it comes down to personal preference.

Though, more important than the camera itself is:

1. The lenses. A poor quality lens on the best camera will result in a poor image.
2. The ability of the photographer. As stated, all the best gear in the world cant make a bad photo a good one.
