I need a good photography camera anybody know one?

I wanna a nice photography camera. Does any body know a good kind?

Go with a D-SLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) Camera. Check out Nikon or Canon. They're both very reliable and excellent cameras to work with. I'd stay away from the fancier DSLRs that have a built in video camera. All that extra stuff isn't necessary for someone who's shooting stills. The nice thing about these brands is that there are literally thousands of accessories that you can get to customize your camera to your needs. I started out with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel 350D which you can now get for a couple hundred dollars. I recently ugraded to the Nikon D90 which is fantastic camera.

What is a good pro photography camera? I am raising money for one.?
Best before...

Like a professional photography camera so I can be a photographer.
Also can you explain a little about its features and tell me why it would be a good choice.

a canon 40D or Nikon d90 would be the lower end semi pro cameras that take AWESOME pictures.

Both go for about 1500 bucks.

The canon XSI and Nikon d60 another user recommended will seem like toys when you hold them side by side to the canon 40d and nikon d90

i need to buy a 35mm camera for photography, anyone know where i can get one cheap?
Jacobs Genius

my photography class is making us buy our own 35mm camera, and i checked amazon.com and the used ones were still pretty high.. some $300 to $700.. i live in Milwaukee, so if anyone knows some stores around there that sell them cheap.. or even an online store.
thanks.

Check on your local Craigslist. I found a few here for you.

The advanage of Craigslist over Ebay is that you can meet the seller (Starbucks, anyone) and try the camera out before buying it. Take aknowledgeable friend along to get a couple of opinions on the camera and it's condition. I've bought several cameras and lenses this way with no problem.

If you were in my area, I'd have several 35mm Nikon SLR's for under $100.

What is a GREAT photography camera and a CHEAP one!?!?!?
Love will tear us apart.

Alright I want to get into some photography just for fun I want to see if I enjoy it and am good at it! I want to take photos of my sports teams and my friends sports teams and my sister's gymnastics! I will mainly use it for fast paced sports. Please help me!
I am only 14 I need it to be cheap as possible! But I was wondering maybe it doesnt have to be brand new either. Maybe there are older cameras out there that take amazing photos.

You can not get great ' photography ' pictures with a Canon powershot A470. If you are really serious, you need to get a Digital SLR, or even a used film SLR from ebay. There is no point and shoot that can compare to a digital SLR. If your parents are really nice, and would consider giving you an early birthday present, the Nikon D40 is a good camera. It comes with a kit 18-55mm lens, which is a pretty sharp lens. It might be a little short for sports shots, but you could always get another longer lens later. Here is the link:

It'll run you at least four hundred dollars. For phenomenal ' photography pictures ' you really do need an SLR camera, not a point and shoot camera. If you can't afford a Digital SLR, you can always consider a film SLR, which is arguably better.

What Kind of Entry Level Camera Should I Get For some One trying to get into the Photography Business ? ?
Opened Pack

I 'm looking for help my girl wants to get into photography what type of entry level camera should i get her? She mainly would like to do scenic and outdoors pictures. Her Dream is to be a photographer for national geographic. Any one have an idea what kind of camera i can get her to start her on her way?

Well start her out slow. A few years of a good photo education and then a few years working as an assistant with a successful pro until she has honed her skills so she can use ANY camera, any where in the world under any conditions.

She has her choice between either Nikon or Canon systems.

At present both systems will cost about the same, so choosing which is going to be up to her and which system fits her style of shooting and has the lenses and accessories she will need as she continues her growth in her new career.

The National Geography photographers I know and have met use what ever camera is necessary for the assignments they are on. Sometimes this means they carry both Nikon's and Canon's

Here is what I carry when on assignment:

1- Nikon D3
1 - Nikon D300
2 - Nikon SB flash units
And these Nikon lenses
12-24 mm
14-24 mm
24-70 mm
24-85 mm (1:2 marco)
70-200 mm
200-400 mm
400 mm
600 mm
105 mm macro

While this may seem like overkill, remember when we are on assignment, we are away from our homes for at least a few days ... as long as three months and in most "National Geographic" assignments the nearest camera store is sometimes 3000 miles a way ... or more

Do this.

Get her a nice entry level DSLR like the Nikon D40 with 18-55 mm lens for around $450 and a nice used 35 mm Nikon SLR with standard 24-85 mm lens (under $200) and get her into school. Soon enough she will be shooting with a vengeance, learning to use the tools you have purchased for her.

While digital is now the rage, film is still used by many magazine photographers and indeed digital images are not always accepted by publishers.

She will have plenty of time to get ready for her dream. Most of the shooters for National Geographic and their ilk have at least ten years experience as remote and location photographers ... more like twenty to twenty-five.

Richoh wants to know why you’re changing just the lens on your DSLR when you can change the lens, image sensor and image processing engine all at the same time with just one simple slide-in unit.

The new Ricoh GXR camera system uses a new system called the “interchangeable unit camera system” which puts the lens, image sensor and image processing engine all in one swappable unit.  Due to the sensor being in an enclosure, the chances of dust or dirt getting in are greatly reduced, something that plagues almost all DSLRs with swappable lenses.
