Camera Phone Photography

I want to start doing photography again however i only have a 2mp camera phone with 8gb memory. Is this adaquete? Ill be photographing mostly buildings and ruins.

I would buy a camera but i cant afford one at the minute. My phone is a Nokia N81.

I've seen some of the manufacturers, specifically Nokia and Ericsson, sponsor such contests but I don't think there are any active right now. They also vary from country to country, for instance there was one in Canada last month. You might want to set up a Google alert so you hear about them ahead of time for your country and/or equipment.

Is there a Java MIDlet that you can set to take pictures at regular intervals using your camera phone? I want to use it to make time-lapse videos of growing plants, mushrooms, etc.

I've seen on S60 application to do this. No Java though.

I've been working with my camera phone for awhile now and I want something better. Nothing too expensive or hi-tech, though. I don't really know much about photography yet. So, I want something pretty user friendly. I also want to be able to put the pictures on my computer easily. I don't want to have to develop film and then scan it onto my computer. I'm too lazy for that. I was thinking about starting with just a point-and-shoot and working my way up.

The best P&S Camera in my opinion happens to be a Canon.

Too lazy to have film processed and scanned onto a CD for you? Now THAT is funny because if you're too lazy to do that, you're likely too lazy to go out and do any photography.

To each their own. I would suggest sticking to the phone in your cell... it won't be inconvenient to carry around with you should a photo opportunity arise unlike having to carry a camera.

Can I use a cell phone camera in the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire ? I was thinking of getting tickets to be in the audience, could I have a cell phone out and record? Or do they not allow cell phones or any flash photography?
