I am having trouble when I try to copy photos from my kodak easyshare v1253 camera to my computer. The computer is not showing the connection. But when I took the camera to rite aid they made me a photo cd from the memory card. I was wondering if I can do the same thing at home and if so what type of card reader do i buy?
first check what kind of card that your camera uses (I would guess that it is an SD card)...then buy a card reader (I know that you can buy $10 ones that may read 23 different types of cards)...these card readers are typically faster and more efficent than direct camera connections anyways!

That is the design. How else could you save your images?
Just put the card in the card reader (xD) and drag and drop the image files to your computer to a file folder that you have named something that will remind you of what is in it.
Don't forget to make a backup CD when you get 650MB of image files.

The only way you can get pictures to your computer without a card is to connect your camera to your computer with the USB cable.
