Canon Digital Photo Camera

When I plug my canon camera into my macbook with the USB cord to upload photos nothing shows up on my screen. What program do I use to upload these photos or where do I go to upload the photos to my macbook? I do have a memory card but there is no slot on a macbook to plug memory cards in.

I have taken canon 560 digital camera recently. when i was viewing photos in camera, it is showing the date/time on the photos. But after storing in computer it is not displaying the date/time. Can you please help me.

I accidentally formatted my memory card in my Canon digital camera. I lost some photos. Is there any way I can retrieve them. I am travelling at the moment so I took more photos.

My Canon PowerShot A520 digital camera came with its own software but my computer came with Photo Album 6 (basic).

So, which is better for use with my digital camera software - Corel Photo Album 6 or Canon's PhotoStitch/Zoom Browser/PhotoRecord,etc.

I'm interested in buying a Nikon D300 this week, but was very interested in using a Canon compact photo printer. I know most people's first response will be to buy a Canon Camera, but I have about ten years of Nikon lenses that I'm not too keen to part with at a loss, so finding a portable printing solution is kind of foremost right now...thanks!

Actually, my first response is: You're spending $$$ on a Nikon D300, only to ruin its images with an inkjet home printer?!

Real photo labs (including http://www.shutterfly.com/ ) were made for cameras like yours. Chemical processing, sharp images, any size under the sun. Doesn't that sound nice?

That said, if the lab is closed and you need photos for a party that starts in ten minutes, then slightly blurry, easily scratched home prints may be your only possiblity.

So to answer your question: yes.

You should probably be able to connect your camera to the Canon printer directly. USB cords tend to pretty similar on that end. If not, the printer also has slots where you can directly insert your memory card. Both Nikon and Canon cameras tend to use SD or Compact Flash cards, depending on model.

EDIT: In fact, when I worked at the camera shop, customers bought Canon printers to use with any brand camera. And I've yet to hear of compatibility issues.
