Will a barcode scanner scan a photo of a barcode taken on a digital camera?

I am a vending machine repair engineer, my company are bringing in a system to scan the barcode at the beginning and end of the job to clock our times which means we will have to work longer hours rather than just doing the jobs then going home, what i want to know is if the scanner will scan a digital camera photo of the barcode?

If you drive a company truck or use a company cell phone they already probably track you via GPS (or could easily do so).

If you value your job, you will play by their rules.

In tough economic times, you are easily replacable--keep that in mind.

BTW: I applaud your thinking anyway--Big Brother Sucks!

Getting digital camera photos as regular photo pictures?

Is there printer paper or something that is in the regular picture format? i want to put my digital camera pictures into my photo album but I dont want them on regular printer paper.

Is there a kind of printer paper that is like picture material?

With many printers, it actually costs more to print color photos at home than it does to have them printed at one of the many store kiosks.

Is there such thing as a digital camera photo printer without needing a computer? ?

My friends have a digital camera, but no computer. I think giving them the photo printer (like the EasyShare by Kodak) would be a great gift, but the ones I've seen so far need a computer. This may be a dumb question, and I am aware of that, lol.. but I'm hoping that it exists?

Thanks!

yes... look for a camera and printer with "PictBridge" capability.

http://www.digicamhelp.com/processing-ph otos/printing/pictbridge.php

"PictBridge is a standardized technology that allows printing images from a memory card in a digital camera directly to a printer, regardless of brand.*

The technology completely bypasses the need for a computer. Each PictBridge device is automatically recognized by the other.

The camera compares its PictBridge functions to the functions of the printer. The camera then displays the supported functions on menus on the LCD screen or in the viewfinder."

Many regular printers (for word processing, etc.) have PictBridge.. you don't need a special printer.

You hook up the PictBridge capable camera and Pictbridge capable printer via USB and print directly from the camera.
This will work whether you are using the camera's memory card or built-in internal memory.

It would be the easiest to get a printer that has a card slot. You pop it out of the camera and then pop the card into the printer's card slot - no USB connection needed.
For example, this printer:

As it says in the link, look for the "PictBridge" logo when shopping for both or ask the salesperson at the store/online retailer.

The logo on the outside of the camera and printer boxes will look like this:

If they have that, you're good to go and don't need a computer to print pictures.

can you please help me pick up a digital photo camera ?

i am mainly interested in a digital photo camera that will allow me to make very good pictures at night. i am planning to go on a trip around Europe and the camera that i have only takes good pictures at day. during the night, the pictures taken are blurry and out of focus. i tried every feature it had but the result was the same. i want to be able to take a photo of the moon, of Belgrade at night and any other lighted building. i know that it is possible. i just want to know with what kind of camera i can do that.

For taking night photgraphs, you need a camera which is having shutter speed manual control + you will be requiring a tripod, to take photos with slow shutter speeds

I am using Sony cybershot DSCH-1, which is having minimum speed of 30 seconds, which is more then enough for night photo graphy. here are a few samples of night photgraphy from this camera

I don't know about your budget, but i think you buy any famous brand, with shutter speed control.
I hope this will solve your problem

Can I use my exsisting 35mm camera for digital photo?

I would like to use my old, but good quality 35mm camera with German lens for digitalized photo.
I don't want to spend so much for film.
I want to know most economical way of solution, because I already have digital camera. Thanks.

You can't do much except send the film to a company that will develop the pictures and put them on cd. Luckily the price of processing has come way down since 'days of yore'.
You may want to find a company that gives you a free replacement roll of film at the same time.

Seattle Film Works comes to mind.
