you know how you can digitally develop pictures at a store? like, i think you connect your memory card from your digital camera to it, and pick the ones you want printed and then they print them out for you, like in an hour? is that how it works?
How much does it cost per picture?
and if thats not how it works, can you please inform me on the process?
Thank you !
Walmart prints are .15 cents each. If you can wait a few days use the Fuji kiosk. Thet are also .15 cents but much bettor quality and free delivery to the store.
The Walmart prints are a hit or miss for me. Sometimes they are good some times not so good. Pick up the Walmart download DVD while you are at the store. You can send your prints on line and pick them up in an hour. Many photo labs have this service.Look for either Kodak or Fuji developing service they are the best IMHO.

Ok, I am really behind with all these technology things. In old days we would take pictures with regular cameras and then take these rolls to the nearest Walmart and come 3 days later to pick up the printed photos.
Now I see these digital cameras everywhere and the price went down on them. Like the ones with 7 or 8 megapixels are good, I heard. Or maybe I am wrong again. But how do I actually get the printed photos from them. Is there some kind of cartridge in them that I have to take some place to get the photos processed?? I am totally lost with all this. Please help.
The camera will either come with a card or you will need to buy a card to go with it. This is ALWAYS best even if you have internal memory on the camera. You can view the card on your computer to see your photos and edit them if you so choose. Then you can remove the images you do not want on the card, replace with your edited images and go to.. you guessed it.. wal mart, or where ever, and have them printed, just like in the old days, only now you can get them back in an hour or less. There are several programs for editing some easy, some hard. Your computer may already have slots for the memeory cards, or you may have to plug the camera in all the time. I would say to buy a card reader if your computer doesnt already have one, this will save wear and tear on the camera.

"processing. . ." and it takes a long time. Why does it do this? My smaller digital kodak camera is quick and doesnt stop to pocess anything. When I'm taking my photography photos I don't like to wait 30 seconds between each snapshot. Can I fix this?
Normal advice here - Read the manual.
If you do not even know what your camera is then there could be a bit of trouble though.
The size of the file will make a difference as will the speed of the card it is dumping to.
If your "big Kodak Digital camera" is shooting in RAW format then the files will take longer to dump to the card but it should not be taking 30 seconds even with an old and slow card.
Shooting jpegs in a lower resolution will speed things up but you are sacrificing quality for speed.
Mind you I doubt you will notice anyway.
I have to create a digital photo studio at work. I operate a businss that has to take alot of pictures of art. For years we have used our digital camera with our semi-pro equipment and have made our business so successful that our current process is too slow. I want to automate as much of the process as possible. I think I should be able to use a remote on our camera and have a monitor so I can see what I am shooting instead of looking through the camera. I also think that I can shoot directly to my hard drive...etc...etc..I can not find anything on line to read, I am getting now where with this. Does anyone know where I can talk to someone or recommend to me what or where I should go next.
Every DSLR (interchangeable lens digital camera) and many higher-end non-DSLR digitals allow "tethered" operation -- where the camera is connected to a computer by a USB cable, and the computer can control the camera (including exposure settings, focus, and taking the picture). The image is then downloaded directly to the computer, bypassing the camera's memory card, and shown on the computer monitor. You get a nice large assessable view of the image immediately, don't have to take out memory cards and download them to the computer, and quick adjustment of exposure parameters.
Check your camera's manual to see if the one you have can already work tethered (you may have to buy additional software -- with Canon cameras it comes with the camera, with Nikon you have to buy "Nikon Capture" software for about $100, other brands vary).
The link below has some 3rd-party software links to give tethered operations for a wide variety of cameras...
Good luck.

Digital photography allows Pro-Quality Work :::: Write Articles
Is there any reason you can not get professional quality images? Not anymore. We are in the digital age - and for photographers (by the way, that is) is good news! You do not have a lab full of darkness and chemicals to create a darkroom - digital allows you to take control of every step of the photo - from the receipt by the load on the computer for processing and printing image you - all from your desk (or kitchen table if desired).
You can do anything! Instead of being surprised at what you can do the professionals - will be surprised what you can do! Digital photography allows you to do what was once only for the benefits: Another beauty of digital photography is the ability to shoot people or events and can be viewed on the spot! This can be done either through the viewfinder of the digital camera or load to your computer. When shooting at special events in your life is a real advantage. How to develop rolls of film back from the meeting or vacation is heartbreaking if something goes wrong (and even someone with your eyes closed if a portrait during the marriage is "something bad").
