What are some good photography tips with a digital camera?

I love to take pictures. What are some good tips I can use to get great pictures with a casio digital camera?

The rule of the thumb is make sure that your picture tells a story. Have a focal point that anyone who looks at your picture will be drawn to. E.g. if you are taking a portrait, make sure that there is nothing in the background that is distracting. and as far as possible, the person/subject should fill up as much of the picture as possible.

I'm going on a trip I would like digital photography tips?

This is my first trip out of state with my digital camera. Does anyone have tips on taking really nice pictures? I used to have a different camera but it would suck the juice out of the batteries less than 5 minutes.

My wife used to have a lot of trouble with batteries in her camera.
Get a good set of rechargeables, with the HIGHEST mAh ratting you can,

Powerex makes a very good slow charger, that does a better job of charging the batteries than most quick chargers.
Not as fast but a better charge.

I never use flash, unless I need it.
Natural light equals natural colors.
A camera with some sort of Image Stabiliizer / Vibration Reduction really helps here.
When I'm in doubt about the lighting, I'll shoot with and without flash, I can choose the best later.

I Need tips for recrording videos using standerd digital camera.?

I Need tips for recording videos using standard digital photography camera. I have camera stand and i want record videos of origami. I need tips for lighting and what best way to make it good video. I have 9.0 mega pixel camera it can record video w/o zoom
software like what ? ?
the camer is
Fujifilm Finepix A700

If you tell us what camera and model we will be able to give you some more specific points that will help you with the specific camera.

In general, lighting will be the most important. You can use construction lamps to supply good light strong lighting for your scene until you an later afford proper video lighting.

It may be that even though the sensor in your camera is 9MP, the video feature uses only a portion of the sensor to give you a video resolution of something close to 1280 x 720 at 30 fps (about 1MP). In your research, you will find that some of the better video recorders use three sensors that are 3.1MP each (Red, Green and Blue) so can produce much higher resolution videos.

Good digital camera for photography?

I want to start toying around with some photography of nature, animals, people, etc. I would like to get a good digital camera but don't need something for professionals since this will be my first time working with this type of photography. I don't have a ton of money to spend so I would prefer low prices but would probably spend up to $300 if necessary. My questions are: What is a point and shoot camera? And what type of camera I should get? And any tips on photography and beginning photography would be very appreciated!

A point and schoot camera is typically a compact camera marketed at the consumer crowd. These cameras are smaller in size, lighter, and less expenseive then their advanced counterparts. They are available in all sorts of megapixel ranges. I bought a Sony W5 (5.1mp) about 4 years ago, and I've taken over 10,000 pictures with it. I like that camera. The lenses on these cameras typically retract back into the body of the camera. They offer many pre-set programs, and some manual settings.

If you're looking at doing photography as a hobby, and not just taking pictures of family at Christmas time, I would suggest getting a D SLR. the "D" stands for digital and SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. These cameras offer interchaingabe lenses (each sold seperately). Typically, they will come with a good starter lesn, and then as you save your pennies, you can buy more lenses for different things (wildlife, landscapes, portraits, Macro-close up- photography) depending on your interests. Unfortunately, thse cameras a a little more expensive than a point and shoot, but the flexibility is worth the additional costs.

As far as DSLR's go, you can't go wrong with a Canon Digital Rebel or a Nikon D40. Personally, I own a Nikon D90, and I love it (it was pricy, though).

Hope this helps.
Cheers!
