I'd like to find this backpack or similar for my boyfriend for xmas. But it only seems available in the US - does anyone have any ideas on where I can buy one in the UK? thanks!
Depends on how much you are willing to pay, you can buy this one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CANON-DELUXE-PHOTO -BACKPACK-200EG-BRAND-NEW-NICE_W0QQitemZ 250034612920QQihZ015QQcategoryZ50507QQss PageNameZWD2VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I would like to decide between these two bags:

I do a lot of walking to get to where I take my photos so I am wondering if the normal backpack would be more comfortable than the one with the sling strap but I also want to be able to get to my camera quickly. If you have tried these or have similar bags, which one would you go for and why?
Thanks.
I have the Fastpack 250, and as you do a lot of walking, I would suggest the 200 that you have mentioned, for the simple fact that the weight is more evenly distributed on both shoulders, so better for your balance, especially over rough terrain.
Hope this helps.

I bought this camera backpack recently. However I noticed that it will not allow me to use my camera with the 70-300mm lens attached. it has space for a laptop and a few other stuff too.
I think it will allow me to only attach the 28-50 mm lens only. So this will mean that every time I want to use the longer lens I must either sport the camera outside the bag or attach the lens again at use time.
I am a hobbyist who just bought his first DSLR so I am not sure of the right thing....
Won't it fit with the camera on the bottom and the lens sticking up? These are the dimensions--
Product Dimensions: 12.5 x 9 x 18.5 inches
It sure seems like there would be plenty of room for a long lens. Your camera and lens can't possibly measure 18 inches, can it?
I have a much smaller bag, and my camera with a 18-200mm lens fits in it. I put the camera in the bottom with the lens sticking straight up towards the top of the bag.
If you don't like the bag, I would send it back.

I do a lot of hiking/backpacking and travel. I want something durable, with a good battery life, that is compatible with a Macintosh computer, etc. I have a little experience with an SLR 35mm, but am more interested in a point&shoot for this camera.
I want something simple that takes photos well enough that I can get the photos printed and hang on a wall.
Get a Canon. They are one of the most reliable digital camera makers (according to Cnet.com), and they have been reliable for me. What I suggest would be the Powershot series, which comes in a range of prices depending on how much quality you want per shot. I suggest the A or S types of the Powershot. Oh, I have a Mac too. Just as long as you have a USB port, it should work perfectly.
Help!! I'm currently backpacking on the east coast of Queensland and my camera (Casio Exilim digital) has packed in!!! The lens cover appears to have jammed and I'm missing so many wonderful photo opportunities. Does anyone know where - maybe in Brisbane - I could get it fixed on the spot or at least within a couple of days as I don't have a forwarding address to leave it for any length of time & have it sent on to me. Any suggestions?????

F-Stop Gear – Satori Photo Backpack Review « Colby Brown Photography
Like many other photographers out there, it seems that I have become a photo bag collector over the years. Think Tank, Lowepro, and Tamrac bags have all found a home in my closet at one point or another. Albert Einstein once said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”, but what other option do we truly have? We all seem to be looking for that universal utopian bag that solves all of our photography transportation needs, but does one exist?
In my own search for the perfect photo bag earlier this year I came across F-Stop Adventure Gear , a small company with big ambitions. Getting feedback from professional adventure photographers in the field, they created their first line of “Mountain” photography backpacks. Although they come out of left field, the F-Stop name caught fire within the adventure community and through simple word of mouth advertising, their Tilopa and Satori backpack lines became incredibly popular. Although they had gained a large amount of support from the community, they knew their bags were not perfect. Rather that sit around and bask in the lime light, they went back to the drawing board, using first hand experience as their guiding factors. After a few months of sorting out design details and dealing with a manufacturing problem, the new bags are finally here and I have to say that I am incredibly impressed.
