Photo Camera Repair

does anyone know a cheap and reliable place to repair a photo camera.my camera broke and i have no warranty.i need a good place to repair it.i live in east london.may be you can suggest something.cheers

hi, I am sorry to hear about your camera not working. It would be helpful if we new a bit more about what was wrong with it and maybe we could give you a better idea of where to take it. For example, if it is not turning on at all (and you think that it is an electrical problem, you could take it some place different and possibly cheaper than if the problem has to do with your camera's focus).
Where ever you go, ask them first if they can give you a free estimate.
You might find that the cost of repair exceeds the cost of replacement....I know that that is true of nearly all of the smaller television sets!

I am a vending machine repair engineer, my company are bringing in a system to scan the barcode at the beginning and end of the job to clock our times which means we will have to work longer hours rather than just doing the jobs then going home, what i want to know is if the scanner will scan a digital camera photo of the barcode?

If you drive a company truck or use a company cell phone they already probably track you via GPS (or could easily do so).

If you value your job, you will play by their rules.

In tough economic times, you are easily replacable--keep that in mind.

BTW: I applaud your thinking anyway--Big Brother Sucks!

My SIL found a chip on her camera lens, it's a fuji digital camera. Is there a way to repair this? She said her photos are all fuzzy from it. Will it cost an arm and a leg?
It's a fuji finepix..probably $150 new.

On an inexpensive camera such as this it's not worth having it fixed.

Most camera repair shops will charge you a minimum fee for estimating the repair (typicall $75-100), and it just goes up from there.

Your best bet is to replace it with a new one and throw the other one out.

Lens repair is a delicate and expensive transaction and there are some lenses that it makes sense to do on, but you're looking at bills in the thousands.

Chalk this up to an "oops" and go shopping for a new camera.

Is there any place(store) like a photo shop where I can take my Lexar Memory card to have them restore my photos and videos?
my card is "mentally" broken. not physically.

You can try it yourself with http://www.recuva.com it's a photo recovery software and free. Do a deep scan. If the card is physically broken then there may be no hope.

No. There's not enough information in the blurred photo to do a decent fix. If you have Photoshop, you can experiment with various things, but most of the time a photo blurred this way is not going to be fixable.
