How to upload from digital/video camera photo from a floppy?
Film with images

I have sony camera, model # DCR-TRV20. I would like to know how to down load the photos on to my desk top (I have the memory stick and floppy) The dest top is windows 98. Will it work or do I need to go to walgreens?

lol well first thing you need to do is have some plugs to hook your camera up to your desktop. Go under video CATAGORYto frys THE STORE and tell them you like to downlaod from your picture camera to your desktop. They well be able to then ask what kind of desktop you have and your processor speed and all that other jazz.
Your best bet is take the whole desktop in when you decide what you need i suggest first visiting and ask those questions first.

Which cellphone with very good photo and video camera quality?
Canon EOS 60D full review

I want a cellphone with very good photo and video camera quality. Which mobile phone is better Sony Ericsson or HTC or Nokia? Please suggest the model number.

I would suggest an LG viewty,i dont own one,but i believe they have awesome video capture and still image capabilities, failing that,i would try the Sony ericsson K850i, which uses a 5.0 megapixel camera, this has slightly worse video capture functions (video can sometimes stop mid frame) but surpasses the LG's image capture.on the cheaper side of things you could opt for the K810i (the K850i's little bro) which packs a 3.2 megapixel camera, with superb still imaging capabilities, however this wouldnt be a good choice for video lovers, as the video recording is near that of a vga camera. If none of those take your eye then a perfect choice for video capture (i dont realy know how this performs with still imaging) would be the Motorola Rizr z10,which captures video at a movie quality of 30fps.as for your question of which brand of phone is better i would opt for sony ericsson,as HTC aren't really comparable with nokia or the former,as they tend to be smart phones, however nokia is a great brand for first time phone users due to easy interface.

is there a freeware program that will let me upload photo and video from my digital photo camera?
...but the time goes by.

i have a kodak easyshare camera that takes pictures and video. the program it came with is kodak easyshare something. the problem is that is takes f o r e v e r to load. i need something faster. but i've tried other freeware programs and all they upload or recognize is photo files. i need something that is free and can do both. any ideas?
i tried the camera and ... wizard thing. it didn't even recognize my camera.

The fastest and easiest way I have found is to just remove the memory card from the camera itself and plug it into a USB card reader and let Windows open it up in a new folder. You can then decide what you want to do from there.

Alternatively, download this freeware Picasa2. Its a digital photo management software. Remember its a freebie plus it has lots of other cool features....http://www.geocities.com/lcming/Digitalp hotography

I have been asked to video tape my cousins wedding. Will my digital photo camera be good enough.?
It was the good time...

I do not have a stand alone video camera but I do have a camera that also records video and sound. It is new and seems to take good video.
The camera is a Fujifilm Finepix S1000 10MP/12X Zoom. Should I buy a regular video camera or will this be good enough quality.

Let me answer this simply: No unless there is no way to use anything else. That being said let me make some recommendations. I'd imagine that he isn't looking for the best quality job, but I'm sure that he doesn't want a terrible picture either. I would recommend for you looking at getting a decent HD sd memory camera. This way you don't need any special equipment to get the video on your computer and its cheep. Something like this http://www.amazon.com/Insignia-NS-DCC5HB 09-Camcorder-Definition-widescreen/dp/B0 01NJVLKK/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&s=photo &qid=1237781305&sr=1-21 would probably be fine just keep it on a tripod as these cameras are extremely shaky. Just make sure you get a large SD card (4gb) to record on. A wedding is a special event you dont want to look back on it in poor quality. Idealy you would want some sort of mini-DV setup, however as you don't have any of that equipment just stick with a good HD memory camera. They sell lots of these and have them on sale quite often at best buy as well. I don't think that spending 150-200 is too much to spend taping a wedding. And although this setup wouldn't be the best it would be miles better than a still camera, at a small price.
