I want to buy a new digital camera . My parents have one similar to the Sony Cybershot DSC-H1 and I want something that size and similar to that but a newer version if possible. I have looked at the H5 and H2 but I dont think they have all the things I want on them.
I am looking for a camera with good Macro, minimum of 7.2 megapixels, good zoom (Min 12X Optical Zoom), lots of different settings/ shooting modes - manual, twilight, landscape..... and high speed shutter. Also built in flash but i think most of them have that. Also a 2-3 inch LCD monitor. Maybe manual and auto focus if these cameras do manual focus, and one that can also record video. I wouls also like it to be a maximum of 400 pounds.
Can anyone reccomend a good camera that has all or most of these? Please give the actual model number (ex. DSC H5...) and a link to a review or details of the camera
Or any other digital camera similar to what I am looking for but I have a smaller sony camera and all the memory sticks and stuff for it so it would probably be easier to get the Sony.
Since you already checked out my camera and others I can't help. I do love my H-2. Have you checked out Canon PowerShot S2 IS, or S3 IS? Just a thought.

I was think of getting the Sony Cybershot DSC-S700 Digital camera but i heard good and bad reviews about it. I was wondering if anyone owns one please give me your review on it? Want to get a cheap and good camera, any other one you woud recommend?
DSC-S700 does not have image stabilization. I would recommend Canon A590 IS.

I just purchased a used camera without instructions and now I'm looking for a good ( with easy to follow directions ) book on how to use a digital camera to make professional looking pictures .
I own a SONY cybershot DSC - F828
Thank you for your help!
You got a great camera!
The original Owners Manual and Digital Photography tutorials are available at the Sony website at:

The is also a "white paper" written for the Sony H series cameras, but most of the paper is a quick education in how to use the advanced features of digital cameras. It is at:

Finally there is a forum for users of advanced Sony cameras. You can search for notes about the F828 and see comments and pics from that camera. It is at:

hello. i have a sony cybershot DSC-T90 touch screen camera and the screen is currently showing a rainbow colored lines all over it. it still takes pictures but i only see the colored lines. it was working fine earlier but when i turned it on again the screen looked like that. can you please help me? the camera is only 6 months old.
Ugh..... that is exactly why I always say that personally, I would stay away from touch screens - they are just yet another problem waiting to happen.
I am really only guessing here, but I'd say it might end up costing more to repair it, than to buy a new little camera. That is the way it usually is with repairs to them.
Good luck. Do you have a viewfinder you could use, instead?
whats the best price for a fairly used sony cybershot digital camera (dsc-p73)4.1megapixel
$25? now thats crazy dude
You'll be lucky to cover your postage on a 4.1mPixel camera. Best put it on one side or give it to the kids.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20/B 10.1 MP Digital Camera
I sort of bought Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20/B Digital Camera on impulse. I needed a new digital camera that was inexpensive and not bulky. While shopping around, I came across Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20/B Digital Camera. I was drawn by the fact that it had so many great reviews. I was very impressed by the uploaded pictures from the reviewers. I had heard so many great things about cameras like the Canon G11 but hadn’t heard much about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20/B Digital Camera. I decided to give it a shot. It came very fast. After a couple of weeks of playing around with it, I can honestly say that it is the best camera I have ever had. I also own a Panasonic Lumix with a Leica lens. I think Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20/B Digital Camera has just as good a picture quality. I also bought the conversion lens adapter and the close-up lens and the macro pictures are nothing short of spectacular. The resolution and picture quality are excellent. The color reproduction is right on. Some people complaint about the lens cap.
