I have private pictures on my sony digital camera's memory stick and i want to know how to permanently delete those pictures since i have heard that there are ways to bring back deleted files. I've tried reformatting the Memory Stick but it won't let me Reformat it, What should i do? Those are pictures that i don't want to be leaked out.
formatting the card make it impossible to recovery them using any image rescue software, if you are unable to do it on camera try connecting to the computer via the memory card reader and format from there, be sure to format the card again on camera before use to ensure that there will be no problems with your camera compatibility.

I have a Sony memory stick from my old camera that I would like to put in an adapter and use as my primary memory source for my non sony camera, is this possible?
No, don't do it..
Memory cards are so cheap now that it's not worth risking your pictures with any non standard kludge.
A new card will be cheaper than the adapter, anyway.
I have an older sony camera that used a sony memory stick (the older version) I just bought a new sony DSC 150 that uses the memory stick pro duo. Can I use my old memory stick? Do I need to buy an adaptor?
Memory stick pro duo is smaller in size than the traditional memory stick, so you can't use memory stick in a camera that takes memory stick pro duo.
8 pages with 20 card compartments
Memory cards not included.
Water repellent
I have a sony camera with a tiny sony memory card. I also have something called a Memory Stick Duo Pro, that I was told to get with my camera. I have only used the cord to connect the camera to my computer, but now have misplaced the cord. Never having used the Duo Pro, I can't seem to figure it out. I can stick the memory "card" from the camera into the Duo, and the whole thing in the slot on my computer, it gets stuck and isn't even recognized. Please Help!!
yes you can. Are you using a card reader on the computer tower? What about a card reader in your printer. If you have one on the printer, put it in with the label facing up. Should slide gently (smooth). Will be just the same width. If your afraid of damaging, or getting stuck, use the adapter that came with it. You don't need it but you can use it if you want.
Maybe someone disabled the drivers for the card reader that's on your computer.
When you turn your printer on your stick should be recognized.

How many pictures will it store?
How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.
The Sony MSA128A 128MB Memory Stick, like most 128MB cards, will store on average 142 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 106 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 64 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 51 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 40 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.
