I have a Sony memory stick from my old camera that I would like to put in an adapter and use as my primary memory source for my non sony camera, is this possible?
No, don't do it..
Memory cards are so cheap now that it's not worth risking your pictures with any non standard kludge.
A new card will be cheaper than the adapter, anyway.

Currently my PSP is using Sandisk 4GB Pro Duo memory stick and I'm getting a Sony T200 Digital Camera, was thinking of buying a Sony 8GB to replace my PSP's Sandisk 4GB memory, and using the 4GB memory for the digital camera. But will it affect the camera in any way? Like because it's not a Sony Brand memory stick, cos so far I've check all the stores are selling the camera are using Sony's own memory stick instead of other brands.
Sony licenses SanDisk to make memory sticks, so it'll be 100% compatible. Your camera will take Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick Pro Duo.
SanDisk is one of the highest quality vendors out there.
I just got a new Sony digital camera and the guy at the store said that I could only use Sony memory sticks with it. Is this true or can I use the San Disk Memory Stick Pro Duo cards??
You can use any Memory Stick as long is it has "Duo" tacked onto the end of its name. Lexar and SanDisk also manufacture Memory Stick Duo memory cards and these will work just as well.
Ideal for AVCHD recording

I have private pictures on my sony digital camera's memory stick and i want to know how to permanently delete those pictures since i have heard that there are ways to bring back deleted files. I've tried reformatting the Memory Stick but it won't let me Reformat it, What should i do? Those are pictures that i don't want to be leaked out.
formatting the card make it impossible to recovery them using any image rescue software, if you are unable to do it on camera try connecting to the computer via the memory card reader and format from there, be sure to format the card again on camera before use to ensure that there will be no problems with your camera compatibility.

Does anyone have a Sony Vaio laptop who can tell me where to put ...
I’m totally behind electronics. I have upload my first digital camera and want the images on my laptop, a Sony Vaio, but I can not find where they put on the memory card into the laptop. I have made friends “laptops, but can not find it on my own. I guess if all else fails I can use the cord thingy and plug in the camera, but I want to be able to use the card as well . Can anyone help me locate the place where I insert the memory card?
