I am looking for the best reasonably priced lens for a Sony Digital SLR camera that is used for general purposes including wedding photos and things like that. Any help would be appreciated.

For those events a good general 24 to 85mm lens will give you what you need.

There are really no "reasonably" priced lenses for SLR cameras. Some are just more money than others.

I'm hoping to buy a Digital SLR camera soon and I am trying to figure out which one i should go with. There are mainly three brand names Sony, Cannon, and Nikon. I'm not a photographer by any means but I would like to purchase a lens to attach to my Sony SLR camera. Most of the pictures I take are of the kids playing or action shots at football games. Any suggestions? I was looking at the Sony VCL-DH1758 Tele Conversion Lens for DSCH1 Digital Camera, Sony VCL-DH1774 74mm 1.7x Tele Conversion lens for Sony DSC-H7/H9/H50 Digital Still Cameras, or the Sony 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Compact Super Telephoto Zoom Lens for Sony Alpha Digital SLR Camera. Would any of these do the job?

The cameras you list are NOT Sony interchangeable lens SLRs.

Add-on lenses are horrible; just horrible. Invest in a true Sony interchangeable lens SLR and use a long prime lens to satisfy your sports aspirations.

I was just wondering what type of batteries a SONY ALPHA A100K 10.2MP DIGITAL SLR CAMERA would use and how expensive they would be. Thanks!!
i'm buying the camera over the internet, and it is saying that they don't have the battery charger or the battery because they already gave that away.

The Sony Alpha DSLRs use camera specific rechargeable batteries. A battery and charger will be supplied with your camera. Additional batteries will be about $100 though if you aren't planning to take thousands of photographs in one go, you won't need a spare.
