Will fisheye lens work with my sony cybershot dsc-h9 digital camera?

im wondering so can you help?
here is a link to a picture of the camera...http://www.cameratown.com/assets/news/la rge/Sony_DSCH9.jpg

nope! unless there's some kinda screw over lens to convert it giving a faux fisheye look it's not going to work.

what that is, is an advanced point and shoot, not an slr with interchangeable lenses.

sony cybershot DSC-h9 or nikon d40 ?

i am a beginner in photography or i can say i have started to learn photography now its time to buy considerable camera. as i am not professional photographer i need a good advise which one to buy.
i know sony H9 is digital and Nikon D40 is DSLR. both have lots of differance but i have read reviews that to be a beginner to intermediate photograper Sony H9 is the best option for quality optical zoom and its lens almost gives SLR touch.
i need advise which one to buy ?

Both cameras are digital.

Unfortunately, you are comparing apples to oranges. Your decision should be based on what you plan to do with your photography.

Are you interested in shooting sports? Are you interested in macro photography? Are you interested in studio work, both portraiture and still life? Are you interested in wedding photography? Are you interested in just getting good photos of family and friends? Are you interested in landscape photography? Are you interested in nature photography?

These are questions only you can answer. How you answer them will help you decide on which camera will best suit your needs.

The Sony is a fixed-lens digicam with few (if any) options for future growth.

The Nikon is an interchangeable lens Single Lens Reflex. You view your scene through the actual lens on the camera. You can change lenses to suit different shooting requirements and use external flash units which makes it extremely versatile and capable of "growing" with you as you explore photography.

help with digital SLRs (for a Sony DSC-h9/b user out there) help?

i currently have a Canon s3is right now.. im selling and looking forward to buy a new dSLR.. i was thinking of buying the s5is to be more advanced but then i came across the Sony DSC-H9/B Cybershot..

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d o?product_id=6015163

i know its more better than a Canon s5is.. but would a Canon adapter tube for lenses fit the Sony one? i was just wondering.. because i dont want to buy another lens adapter again.. hope you could help..

and does the Sony have a swivel viewfinder??

oh and one more thing.. how safe is it to buy digital camera bundles on ebay?? they sell cheaper.. and come along with a lot of stuff.. im just wondering if its save though.. is it?

Canon implemented the EOS system, maybe 10-15 years ago, so doubtful they are compatable. But the EOS system is for any Canon camera, video or still. All the lenses are compatable throughout the Canon line.

Kindly help me in selecting the best model in digital camera of SONY brand.?

I have selected some models and want help from anyone to select the best from those from every perspective.
my selected models are : Sony Cybershot DSC H3, H7, H9
kindly give ur suggestions asap.

The H7 and H9 models are fairly identical, except for the following H9 advantages:

- Much better LCD screen (larger, with more resolution, and with tilt capability).
- A couple additional function buttons (exposure and burst shooting modes).
- NightShot function (also with its additional button)

None of these additional features make the slightest difference in terms of image quality, since both the optics and the sensor are pretty much the same in every aspect.

Of course, the H9 is therefore a bit more expensive (and slightly heavier).

The H3 is a different, smaller and visibly under-featured beast: shorter optical zoom (10x instead of 15x), quite slower lens (a bit over 2/3 EV stops slower, with its f/3.5 maximum aperture in wide angle, compared to the H7 and H9's f/2.7 maximum), less range of shutter speeds (up to 1/2000 seconds, compared to the H7/H9's 1/4000 seconds), less powerful flash, slightly lower burst shooting speed...

... on the other hand, the H3 is quite smaller, lighter, and cheaper.

I don't have a suggestion, though; I don't know if your priority is price, ergonomics, zoom range or advanced features. I would choose the H9, but that's me.

  • Buy Cheap

  • sony cybershot dsc-h9 8mp digital camera with 15x optical image ...

This camera came out in 2007 and was priced at $479.99 at the Sony store where I bought it. So unless WSP is including a lot of extras, the $999 price seems wrong.

This camera is now discontinued and there are newer versions of this camera. Check out dpreview for latest cameras. I have used it quite a bit (>4,000 pictures) and gotten great results with the camera. Although not a pocket camera its small enough to take it on trips and not be burdened by a heavy DSLR. As with all small sensor cameras low light quality is degraded but as long as you understand this limitation and have adequate light you can get very good pictures from this camera. It’s fun to use and has a very nice macro capability. it has a great zoom range although todays models have even greater range.

I was all set to buy the Sony H50, but found the H9 at Fry’s for $249. Wow! I was looking for a bridge camera to play with HDR photo editing. My dad is a big Canon user and for the life of us we cannot get either of his two Canons to take bracketed still shots. The manuals stink for this camera, and the pdf I loaded on the home computer doesn’t mention the bracketing either. BUT, it’s quite simple. Figured it out in just playing with the camera after about 5 minutes, and it actually works. I’ll be taking this out to the Getty Center this weekend and will take some 2 to 3 hundred pictures and see what this camera can really do. Will add to this review afterwards.
