I am looking for an instruction manual for the Vivitar 28 Piece Microscope Set.?

I tried to check with Vivitar.com, but they do not reference this product, much less have the manual available for download. I have requested a response from their customer support, but I am not optimistic about a quick response. If anyone has one available and could answer a few questions (preparation for baby shrimp!) that would be great!

You might get a better response if you posted this question in another section, Science?? this is a camera section not too many Microscopes here..sorry.
Good Luck

How does an auto flash on a Vivitar V3800N affect the pictures taken in b&w?

I'm obviously a beginner, and I was wondering if getting an "auto flash" kit with a vivitar V3800n slr 35mm manual with a 28-70mm lens would be useful with b&w.
let me know, thanks!

Buy a Vivitar 283 or 285 flash with the off-camera remote sensor and the bracket designed for it. You'll have plenty of control - 4 auto settings + manual. Check at keh.com or bhphotovideo.com or adorama.com or eBay.

I'm still using a 283 I bought new in Feb. of 1976. Yes, a 32 yr. old flash still going strong. In fact, I used it last Nov. with my 30 yr. old Minolta XG-9 to photograph my daughter's 30th. birthday party.

How old, good are these cameras?

So i was lookin through where we keep the video camera and digital and all that and i found a bag, that among other photography stuff had 2 cameras and they look a little old, i know they re my dads but hes in iraq right now. So basicallly are they ametur , good for beginners(i wanna do a little photography and develop the film myself) are they too old? thanks, also some lenses'

minolta x-700
minolta x-370
minolta motordrive 1
55mm dianmeter vivitar 80-200mm
vivitar autozoom 28-70mm
manuals were in the bag but dont tell me like standard settings for things, i have no real cluse how to set it up and work it.

x700 is an alltime classic, the X370 is another version of the X300 the baby sibling to the X700.

i have each of the three cameras above and up till 7 years ago used the x700 professionally recieving some awards

at the end of the day the bodies just move the film from one side to the other, image quality starts at the lens, unfortunately the ones u list are not that sharp. if you want to shot film get the minolta MD F1.4 50mm very sharp lens

if you dont know what your doing put the camera on the "A" setting for automatic, you will however have to manual focus

hope this helps, for more specific info email me

I'm selling this for my dad. its a barely used vivitar 28-300mm F/4.0-6.3 for CANON push pull lens. My dad purchased this when, after his previous film canon crapped out, he purchased a new canon which ended up giving him trouble very early on. He's since switched over to nikon well over 5 if not 6 years ago. In which case he found this kept away and its time to get rid of it. Asking for $160 shipped(anywhere in the US' mainland) OBO. will include lens cap and rear canon brand cap.
