try this website if you don't have the disk. http://list.driverguide.com/list/company 1128/index.html
it has the vivicam 55 listed about 2/3 down the page. good luck.

Hey Hardrock Cafe,
There are manuals from Vivitar available, and many reviews. Also, the Vivitar site has the Camera drivers (software that you must install for this camera). This is available at the last web site. Go to your model hyperlink, the manual is there and so is the software download.
I lost the install cd to my digital camera. I have serched the internet for hours trying to find a driver to install my camera (including Vivitar.com). But I have come up empty-handed. If anyone knows where to get the right driver please let me know. I cannot purchase a new cd either, I have looked to do that as well. I really need the pics that are on my camera. They are of my childrens birthday partys that I can't re-create.
If you have the USB cable to attach the camera to the computer just plug it into both and make sure the camera has plenty of power then just wait for your computer to find the new hardware that you just plugged into it and it should find the drivers for it from the microsoft database and it should put all the photos into your my pictures folder good luck but without that cable to attach the camera to the computer you may have a problem

Manual Focus Lenses :: View topic - Rokkor optical design and quality
I have the Joseph Cooper books on the Minolta system. The copyright date is 1976, so only MC lenses are listed, and apparently the only 135mm f/2.8 that Minolta produced back then was the MC Celtic, a 135/2.8 with 5 elements in 4 groups. And while the books shows optical formula diagrams for the MC Rokkors, it doesn't for the Celtics. The books do not give any subjective information regarding image quality, but they do have lots of photos, most of which unfortunately do not have captions with exposure data. There are multiple MC-era 135mm f/2.8 Rokkors. I have two different ones (one says Auto Tele Rokkor, one just MC Tele Rokkor), but optically both seem similar or perhaps the same. Neither is very sharp wide open (actually quite soft compared to many other 135mm f/2.8 manual focus lenses). I also have an MD Rokkor 135mm f/2.8 which is clearly different optically (much smaller rear element, for one). It is sharper.
