I see that you only have a 3 optical zoom,,,,,,,,you should only use that and never the digital zoom. Digital zoom will cause your pics to look fuzzy. If you did not use digital zoom but stayed with your optical zoom then were you shaking? That can cause fuzzy pictures. Also if you are in a hurry taking pictures they can be fuzzy too. The one thing people do not think of when buying a digital camera is size,,,,,,,they like the small cameras because they are cool,,,,,,BUT if your hands are large ,your camera small,,,,,AND the buttons on the camera small,,it can make the camera harder to use,,,focus and make your pictures blurry.

Your photofinisher cannot make your pictures fuzzy! Digital pictures are stored in files and the digital print centers simply print those files,,,,,,,,,good pictures always start with the camera and photographer.

This is a discontinued model and it was a crappy camera even in it´s day.
* no optical zoom, only 4x digital zoom. This means that it only uses the full 5 megapixels when you´re shooting at maximum wide-angle. When you zoom in, this camera only records a little over 1 megapixel. This isn´t enough for decent prints.
* tiny 1.5 inch lcd screen
* horrible low light performance
Just forget it - this camera isn´t even a real improvement over a phone-camera.

i have a vivitar 5386 digital camera 5 megapixel and i want to protect it very well.what could i do or put on the camera to protect the lens and the screen?

You can get a stick on screen protector. It prevents scratches and in some cases, fingerprints.


Get a soft case to put the camera in. Try not to put it into your pocket or a handbag with sharp objects like keys if it does not have a soft case.
