Attaching a vivitar fisheye lens to a nikon D80 ?

I got a Vivitar series 1 fisheye lens for my nikon D80 as a gift and i cannot figure out for the life of me how to attach it ! The directions don't say anything about needing an extra part, but it seems like i do ? some sort of converter lens ? please help !!!


What mount is on the Vivitar? If the mount is for a Canon, Pentax or Minolta, that is why it will not fit.

If it is a Nikon mount, it will just twist right on unless the back sticks too far into the camera.

Before using it, I would take it into a camera store and have them help me so I do not damage the D80 in any way.
