I found a photographer who is a novice- not professional- but an AMAZING photographer. In fact, she has a portfolio that surpasses any professional I've seen. Just a natural!
For my wedding, she is asking $1000 which includes two photographers and a CD afterwards. I'm guessing they'll stay the whole time. Is this reasonable? I thinks she's willing to negotiate a little.

One of the key things about being a wedding photographer or a customer is that you communicate and know exactly what each expects from the day etc.

one of my bridesmaids grandparents offered to do my wedding photography for free, her grandfather is an amateur but takes amazing pictures. were gonna take them up on that offer but should i tip them or get them a gift to show my appreciation?? opinions and ideas??

I would definitely find out what they like and/or what their hobbies are and buy them a thank you gift that fits their personality. They may try to turn away a monetary gift, but a personal gift of thanks will be appreciated.

Jennifer Voss with Voss Photography from Tulsa,OK charged me $850 for a package with unlimited amount of photos,engagement session,11 X 16 mounted and a photo album. I got my wedding pictures back 2 months after my wedding and was just very upset. I paid for quality which is not what I got. I mentioned to her how upset I was and she began to tell me that her camera messed up and that she had to send it in to get repaired. I don't even think she was going to tell me something went wrong during the wedding ceremony.The pictures before the wedding ceremony are amazing but,the one's with family friends. wedding party, and my husband & I are blury,dark, & distorted pictures. I asked for a refund of my money and basically she responded saying that she did her job. Someone please help me. Should I contact a lawyer because this is totally unexceptiable. A picture is worth a thousand words and with this picture's they look like they were taken with a disposable camera.
Save a bit of money and take her to small claims court. The court will for SURE rule in your favor. She did her job unacceptably. And, sad to say, the pictures prove it. Just remember to bring in every piece of documentation (be very, very prepared; the court will notice) including contract and photos.

I was wanting to make an enquiry regarding a quote for wedding photos but now I can't find it. it was called somethjing like Veolia Art. It had photos of goth girls, Whitby goth festival, bands etc on that the phoptographer had taken.
It was amazing and now I can't find it! Can anyone help?
