World Image Weddings
I'm a Los Angeles wedding photographer and I work for that company, so I'm a little biased, but our work speaks for itself. My partner photographers and I are all professionals with photography degrees and real world photojournalism experience, and you won't have to sell your kidney to book us.
We're willing to work with a variety of budgets, for example you may not need a 50 page hardcover wedding album (at least not yet - maybe in a few years). What's important is having a talented photographer who you can connect with and who can produce the amazing photography you deserve for your wedding day.
Check out our website and contact us if you have any questions at all.
Thanks!

I have heard good things about Gene Higa. People like Jasmine Star or Mike Larson are willing to travel for a fee and they are also reputable. The ladies on the local boards at http://talk.theknot.com are helpful with suggestions.
we are looking for a photographer
wedding in sonoma
prices?
Natalie Calder in Marin is the best I've ever seen. We used her at our wedding and all we got were complments on the photos and her attitude while there. Here is her website. Cost depends on what you want from her. She is certainly inline with the costs of others and a little cheaper in my opinion. Send me an e-mail if you want to talk more.

Cheap ones..
Where are you located in the Bay Area?
I got married last year; we had our reception at the Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville. It was a beautiful reception and I absolutely loved all of our vendors. I actually still keep in touch with a lot of them.
My photographer was wonderful. Her name is Kim Schuster. Here is her website if you want to contact her:

She took over 4,000 pictures that day - we got all the pictures on CD's, online and a great album.
For my florist I used a wonderful woman named Anne. She has an absolutely fabulous website - she did a great job on my flowers; and she gave me a great price.

For our DJ we used Doug Peacock at SuperSonic Entertainment. He is great - lots of personality and did a great job.
Here is his contact information: supersonic-ent@comcast.net
If you need any more suggestions feel free to send me an email. I did lots of research for my wedding and worked with some wonderful vendors.
If you get in contact with any of the vendors you can tell them that April recommended you. I still keep in touch with them, so they know who I am. :)
Good luck to you!
Also, how much to pay for cake? Any recommendations for any of the above vendors? Thanks.
You're most likely going to spend the most on the flowers and the photographer. The photographer is not something you want to skimp on. You will have those pictures for the rest of your life you don't want to be disapointed when you get them back and they are nothing like what you had invisioned. Photographers also usually charge by the package and by the hour. So it really depends on how many hours you need them for. Expect to average around $1000 or more for a great photographer. That is not counting the wedding album either.
Flowers are expensive because you use them for the bridal party, decorations, cake, and centerpieces. If you decide to use candles as the centerpieces, none on the cake, and to decorate with glass beads or fake crystals you will cute your costs DRASTICALLY! I budgeted only $750 for flowers. I had no idea I guess because with me, the groom, family, and our bridal party, decorations, centerpieces (half are being done in candles still) and the cake I am going to pay over $2500 just on the flowers! Crazy right? My centerpieces were $100 a piece alone just for the flower part and it would have been more if my mom hadn't talked the lady into renting us the vases for free as long as we got the flowers from her. It's seriously crazy how much you spend.
The DJ is the easiest part. They are usually very reasonable. My DJ is a long time friend so I got a discount (thank god lol) but they can range in price from about $600 to $800. A live band would of course cost way more of course but for DJ's you can usually find a really great one for a reasonable price.
Good luck and Congrats on your upcoming wedding!
