Beautiful Wedding Photography

Hi guys, I'm going to hong kong in August. My sister went right after she got married and had her wedding photos taken there. The photography place provided attire for the bride and groom and also a beautiful setting. My sister looked so pretty. I'm going for 9 days and I really want to take those pictures with my husband (we're newly weds). I don't know if my sister is playing dumb or she really don't remember anything. If anyone can recommend or have information on a particular professional photography place that'll be nice. Like I said, I'm only staying for 9 days and I know that should be the first thing to do when I get there. Please help!!!! Thanks.

My friend is already enrolled at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in NYC, and she's looking to move outside of NY. She's extremely talented- extremely, so she's interested in very serious schools. Anything in Boston, Colorado, Washington DC, Baltimore, Providence, etc....Big cities mostly, or beautiful areas. She's a very hard worker, and she produces beautiful art. We're talking ART here too, not wedding photography or anything like that. Any suggestions would be very helpful! Thanks!

Does anyone know any INTERESTING and beautiful settings that you can take wedding pictures?

I live in calgary, alberta...there is no beach or lake....i was thinking a garden with flowers ,and a nice park but i need some ideas...at least better ideas than mine...

please help, anything would be great..wdn coming up fast

my girlfriend and I went to bearspaw a little while ago, just before i left canada, there's a little stream and waterfall, the sun sets right behind it and it would be really pretty right now, I saw it in spring, i can only imagine summer would be amazing there

On the day of our wedding, I was really upset with our wedding photographer. We'd hired a photographer who had an assistant so that we could have complete coverage of each of us getting ready and get a lot of candid photos, etc. Instead, half the time both of them seemed to just be sitting around and the rest of the time our photographer was taking posed shots of us in which he'd keep telling us "look up here" or "let's have a kiss" -- nothing different or interesting. Plus, he actually seemed upset and ticked off when we'd ask him to, you know, take photos of stuff. It was so bizarre because his photos on his website were so much more interesting than the ones he was taking of us. I was SO upset with him I nearly started crying in the middle of our formal photos. He also took like 10 photos of the same grouping of us with the readers and then just one or two of the more important shots -- like the two of us together.

So obviously I didn't FEEL beautiful or good during our photo shoots. And I'm waiting now for the photos and we have at least another 4 weeks or so before he's going to have them ready for us. Everytime I think about it, I feel sick to my stomach.

Any advice? Did anyone have a similar experience with their photographer on their wedding day? Did it turn out okay in the end?

I'm sure they will turn out beautiful. Every bride is beautiful, so you should be excited to get them back. Just think, it could've been worse, he could've not shown up, or not taken ANY pictures at all! You have to look on the bright side of this. Did other people think that he was lousy? Maybe you were just nervous/excited, and he really did get some awesome shots. The most you can do is relax and wait the 4 weeks until they come and judge them then. Keep an open mind, I'm sure he captured some beautiful moments.
