My cousin is getting married .. so his sister (my other cousin) and i are throwing them a bridal shower. Since they both like photography we are thinking of having a *photography* theme for the party.. Can anyone shoot any ideas my way.. cute center pieces etc.?
-Take 35mm film out of it's cylinder and use it as ribbon to tie around flowers for centerpieces.
-Rent a photo booth (probably too expensive for the shower)
-Hire a "top hat photographer" (you know those guys who appear when you're out on the town asking if you'd like your picture taken only it costs you $10) and have him walk around taking pictures of everyone.
-Use picture frames to display signs, table numbers, etc.
-Go to antique shops and find old cameras for centerpieces.
-Rent out a studio space or dark room to hold the event
-Use all black instead of white table cloths and accent it with white details.

Vintage Themed Bridal Shower
Themed bridal showers is becoming a huge trend and one that I adore. The Bridal Shower is always a memorable day for the bride and something that they look forward to while planning their special day… so why not make the bridal show flow with the theme of the wedding as well?! Putting on a bridal shower would probably fall in the responsibilities of the maid of honor, girlfriends, or sisters of the bride and can seem like hard work… but it can actually be very fun and keep in mind that you are doing it for a special person in your life. Why not show that you put some extra time and thought into this special day by going the extra mile with a themed bridal shower. Check out this beautiful Vintage Themed Bridal Shower that would actually be easy to re-create just by using odds and ends from around your house or even from a local antique store.
Courtney Brooke shares her planning details with us for her friends Vintage Bridal Shower:
“I spent weeks trying to gather ideas for a bridal shower, and I am so happy with the way it all turned out. For dinner we had yummy BBQ chicken salad, with rolls and lemonade. Topped my mom’s famous cupcakes for dessert. The favors were little buttons made out of white chocolate packaged in a cellophane bag sealed with a vintage label. The decor included fresh picked flowers in vintage pots and glass containers, vintage looking items such as a clock, tea cups, a birdcage, and tables sprinkled with buttons. And also chandelier of old jars with candles lit inside. I have to give a big thanks to all the girls who helped out, and especially my family who put in a lot of effort as well. It was such a perfect night.”
