I am looking for a good photographer for my wedding next summer, someone creative and yet reasonably priced. Does anyone have experience with one that they liked? The wedding will be held in Flat Rock, MI, so anyone in the Downriver (trenton, riverview, brownstown, southgate, etc), or possibly monroe or ann arbor area should be ok. I appreciate the help! Thanks :)
I don't know off hand, but I'd call the Southern Wayne County Chamber of Commerce. They will give you a list on the spot of photographers in the area. 734-284-6000

Depends on the package you want. Your budget really doesn't have to play into it at all unless you have allocated all the rest of the money already. I would probably set aside at least 800 but upwards of 1000 depending on the package and prints you want.
Price: $30.80
2-section stand with a maximum extended height of 7.0 feet
Supports up to 5.5 pounds of lights with accessories
Does anyone know a good quality wedding photograper in Liverpool. I am on a budget and can't afford all the prices that I am being quoted on the internet.
Please help

This is the digital age.
The cameras that most of your friends have are so much better now than they were even 1 year ago.
Ask friends and relatives if they can do the photography as a favor. Get as many people as possible.
Redundancy is the key! The more photos you have, the more likely you'll have enough GOOD photos to fill your album!
Cheers.

We are only having one attendant each and have three sets of parents and only two grandmothers.
Our budget is $7000 to $8000. We are having about 85 people at our wedding and reception.
This includes my dress, the groom's clothes, everything. The ceremony, reception & dance are going to cost us about $5000 already. Includes drinks/wine, supper, cake, bartenders.
Your budget for the photographer will vary a lot depending on how long you'll want them and where you live. I'm a professional photographer in Ohio, and depending on the package and options my clients request, I charge anywhere from $700-6,000.
I can also tell you that you need to be shopping around for one as soon as you've set a date and at least a year before the wedding. Most of the good photographers book a year or more in advance and it would be tragic to fall in love with someone's work and then find out that they were booked already for your wedding date.
When selecting a photographer, you need to go with someone who's portfolio wows you. You need to have that WOW factor there, you need to be really amazed and blown away by the quality of their work. Photographers only put their best work in their portfolios, so if you think a photographer's portfolio is only so-so, you can rest assured your actual wedding pictures have a good chance of not even being that good.
Make sure you can talk to some of the photographer's past clients or see reviews that they have written about the quality of the work. It's not always necessary to meet in person with your photographer, especially if it's a destination wedding, but make sure that in phone or email conversations that they are personable, knowledgeable and friendly, willing and eager to help you. A photographer who brushes you off or is anything less than professional does not deserve your business.
Also, photography is not an area to scrimp in if your pictures matter at all to you. Unless the photographer is running a sale or discount, you will get cheap work if you pay cheap prices. Photographers who know their work is worth paying for will not be giving it away cheaply. And if they are dirt cheap, you need to triple check that you're sure they're not hiding something.
Good luck, and congratulations!
If that's too personal, just give a range of prices quoted while you looked for a photographer. Range in my area was $500-$3000.
We were REALLY careful about who we looked for and the budget.
We found a guy (who still takes family pictures for us) who charged $200/hour. We used him for 3 hours with $200 for pictures, meaning we spent $800 for exactly what we wanted to set in pictures!!
In the end, we were happy we interviewed so many people to find EXACTLY what we were looking for. They were more than happy to work with us.
