I'm getting married in October 2007 and don't have a lot of money to spend on professional photographers. Can anyone recommend a photographer in Colorado Springs, CO that is good and not going to cost me an arm and a leg?
Look on Craig's List - they usually have a bunch - make sure you see their portfolios & talk to their references

I'm having a wedding at the Academy Chapel in C.Springs, and want a great reception location for afterwards that will fit into a military budget. The key is, I'd really like to provide my own food and drinks because I'm in culinary school and have friends who can do it better and cheaper than a mass-caterer. So I'm thinking studios or event spaces that will be inexpensive blank canvases for decorating and allow outside food and drink. I'd be okay if the space had character as well, but blank is fine. Any ideas would be super helpful. And photographer recommendations as well. Thanks!
DEFINITELY not an outdoor or rec center kind of wedding. I was thinking more of a studio space or something. We've got about 20k to work with.
If you want to be able to bring your own food and drinks then I would suggest looking into the city's website under the Parks and Recreation department. I am sure that you can find a community center, park or hall that they can rent to you for a good price...usually they willl allow you to bring your own food/drinks, but each place is different...

Last week I met with Kelsey for her senior pictures. We lucked out with the last beautiful day before an ice storm arrived. Kelsey is an outgoing, adventurous student who loves the outdoors. Red Rock Canyon Open Space was a perfect setting for her personality and lifestyle. Thanks for a great photo shoot, Kelsey, and good luck with your last year of high school!News
