Creative Wedding Photography

Does anyone have any creative ideas on how to advertise a new business (wedding photography/videography)? I'm just starting out and I don't have a huge advertising/marketing budget to work with. Thanks!

Get a great website together and then post your services anywhere that will allow such things for free. I found my photog on Craigslist. I actually interviewed 3 from there.

I'll be starting my business within the next few months, and I'm looking for a creative name. I don't want to name it after myself, and I'd like it to be a simple, identifiable, and easy to remember name. Any suggestions?

find a name with the first few letters in the alphabet ike A, B, C, D, etc... because when people search for wedding photographers its usually in alphabetical order so you with be at the top of the list :)

I am doing some research on some fun, creative, and unique wedding photo poses that I can incorporate into my wedding photography...

About 75% of my photography is very spontaneous, especially ceremony and reception captures. But every couple wants those "posed" formal shots, and I am just looking for more fun ideas. Kind of a poll, so to speak, of fun things you all have thought of or had done.

Do any of you have any ideas? Links to pictures and/or image posts are VERY welcome.

I am just looking for some really original ideas. None of the stand smile click, but maybe some fun (groomsmen holding groom up), romantic (bride and groom looking into each others eyes), silly (bride and bridesmaides laying in the grass looking up at camera), etc. poses.

Crossed hand over the marriage certificate (comes in handy when there is some question of when you were married, you can look at the photo innocently, rather than asking someone else).

I recently photographed a wedding for a family member and now I'm trying to decide what to print. Usually I just take the photos and give the CD with a release form to print, but I wanted to do a few prints as a gift to my cousin and his new wife. I'd like to do 3 8x10's but I'm not sure which three photos to choose. They won't tell me which they want - they just say "Whatever you think is best".

I've got all the standard stuff - documentation of the ceremony, formals after, reception, ect with more creative stuff as well. In traditional wedding photography, what would be a good choice for 3 8x10's?

I am interested in getting some ideas about different kinds of creative photography pics to take. (for instance, one I saw was a wedding dress on a railroad track) Anyway, anyone know of a book that might give me some creative ideas. thanks.
