I'm getting married in Kauai Hawaii and want a photographer/ wedding planner?

It will be just me and my husband getting married with no wedding party and would like to get married somewhere pretty but not too expensive. I would like to get some good pictures but don't want to spend a lot a lot on them. Something reasonable. I would not mind getting someone to help with the planning but it is just us 2 so nothing hugeor anything . Ideas anyone?

You need to get photographed in the Fern Grotto on Kauai, you may even be allowed to marry there! It's the most romantic place on the earth and I can't think of a more beautiful start to your lives together.

Oh, and congratulations!

Wish it was me, sigh..

Please help me with my Hawaii wedding?

I'm getting married in Oahu and I really need help finding a legit service to use. Please dont tell me a website unless you've used it because I've seen all these websites as well but the problem is I don't know if they're reliable.I don't want a 12 year old kid to show up as a photographer with Polaroid

Suggest to look for a business registered with the Better Business Bureau in Hawaii.

How much should you spend on wedding photos?

we are getting married in Hawaii and im not sure what to do.. fly out a photographer or use one there... wedding pics are sooo expensive! also, should I have the wedding videotaped?

Here's an advice:

Do not save on photographer!
(and yes, do get it videotaped, also professionally)

If the budget is tight, order cheaper food, go for a smaller hall or get a less expensive dress...

Keep in mind, that 10 years from now nobody will remember what they ate at your wedding (unless you order very exclusive cuisine from celebrity chefs), or how the tables were arranged (maybe a few uncles picky for the details will), and your kids won't even know what was there. But your wedding photographs will be there for (hopefully) generations. That's the best memory you can have of your wedding. So if you have a great photographer you know of in mind - it may be worth flying one in! Because who photographs your wedding makes a huge difference in the result!

As to average cost of photographer and everything else for that matter - here's a very handy guide. Just enter your zip code, and it will show you what to expect to pay, as it varies greatly from place to place:

goint on vacation to Hawaii in 2008, 10th wedding ann.want to renew vows. want a pkg deal with cermony locatio

Also need a photographer, officiant, and florist

You need to talk with a travel agent. They can find all of that for you

Look at the web sites below to decide which island you want to visit. I recommend the Kanapali Beach area on Maui because its beautiful and there are not as many tourists as on Oahu (there's a nice Sheraton there); but you may want to book some tours/excursions on other islands.

The better hotels may be able to arrange all of what you need; hotels like Marriott, Sheraton, and Westin.

Look at the Roberts Tours site below, they are a good reliable tour service; have used them a couple times.

Rent a car while on Maui for a couple, days and drive the Road To Hana. I also recommend the downhill bike ride: ..... http://www.mauidownhill.com/

What is this...I've never heard it part of a wedding?

I was just on a site that was telling people's wedding stories and this is what I saw...
Venues: St Fransiscus Church; Beach reception on Renaissance Island
Hometown: New York City
Wedding Date: July 26, 2008
Bride’s Dress Designer: Demetrios
Bridesmaids’ Dresses: Butter dress by Nadia
Florist: Provided by the hotel
Photographer: Diana M. Lott Photography
Wedding Coordinator: June Jones
Honeymoon: Island hopping in Hawaii
Trash the Dress Location: Various spots along the North Shore of Aruba

Rob & I decided we wanted to do something different. We had gone to a bunch of weddings recently and wanted ours to be unique. After visiting Aruba in January of 2007, we fell in love with Renaissance Island. The Renaissance Aruba Hotel owns a small island ten minutes by boat off the coast! The boat picks you up from the lobby of the hotel and brings you straight there.

My question is...what the hell is with the "trash the dress location"? I've never heard of this before.

It's where you go with your photographer the day after your wedding (or when you return from your honeymoon) to take relaxed pics in your wedding attire. Contrary to popular belief, there is no damage done to your dress unless you want to do something drastic to it. No one is requiring that you do it, and more people than not actually don't do it.

It is a type of photoshoot that was introduced just a couple years ago by L.A. photographer Jessica Claire under the name "day after shoot". Somehow along the way, the name was changed into something that is offensive to many people even though there is no damage done to the attire, but it throws them off anyway.
