To answer some questions:
I have seen the work by the photographers, and it is by far some of the best photography I have seen while looking into booking. Yes, it is with the photographer and his partner, not with the assistant photographers.
The album is a seperate 900 cost. My fiance and I opt to get that after the wedding cost. It is an Leather Craftsman artistic book, 20 pages, all digital matte and very professional. I have seen examples and it blew me away.
Thanks for everyone's input. I'm just not sure what the average is so I'm trying to make sure it isn't over priced (or maybe even under) !

I am looking for a photographer for my wedding October 11th, 2008 in Southeast Michigan. I am looking for someone who will not do too many posed pictures or advanced editing. We love the photo journalistic approach. A few of the photographers style we like are anneruthmann.com and marcicurtiss.com, however they are a little out of our budget. Depending on what is included, we need to stay under $1400.00. We don't need any prints or extras, but would like to have the images on disc. If you are a photographer, know of a photographer, or are a photography student with some work completed, please let me know!!! THANK YOU!!!

She was amazing, and I absolutely loved the way that she captured our wedding! I still look at my pictures and am amazed. She is very reasonably priced, and an absolute pleasure to work with. I didn't even hardly see her taking pictures, and when i saw the pictures I thought...how did she get that picture, I didn't even see her!!

The Photo-journalistic Style
The photo-journalistic style is a modern style that is very popular today. It’s all about capturing your wedding from start to finsih so when you look back at the photos you will feel the emotion and essence of the story. It’s more about the candid moments than the posed. There is less direction from the photographer so that the moments are more authentic and spontaneous.
The Traditional Style
The traditional style of capturing a wedding is based more on the posed moments and is a more formal way of capturing your wedding. This style has an emphasis on posing, mostly the wedding party and the couple’s families. If you get too caught up in the posed photos you can miss out on much of the spontaneity and passion of the day but it is nice to spend a small amont of time in the traditional arena since you will end up with some professional portraits of you, and your loved ones.
