Hello! I am planning a fall wedding for October, 2009, in the Bronx for max 150 people. Does anyone know a great but affordable photographer & videographer in the Bronx, New York, Queens, Westchester, etc.? Also, does anyone know a great DJ/event service center; looking for DJ, montage, candid camera, lighting, extras, etc.
Thanks!
As a wedding photographer myself (albeit not in NY), I'd recommend that you don't scrimp on your photographer. You really will get what you pay for, so keep that in mind! Good luck!

Christian Oth - he is fantastic! his whole studio is. many photographers to choose from but all innovative, modern, traditional, photojournalistic.
Worth every penny! your photographs will be THE most important keepsake you have from this day.

i am having a really hard time finding a wedding photographer...partly because its not on the top of my list. every time i go for a consultation and they want $4000-9000 for their time/work/packages. i cant see spending that much money on an album that i probably wont look at more than 10 times in my future. i just want somebody to show up at the church and come back for the reception without costing us a fortune...does anybody know any reasonably priced photographers in the syracuse/rome, ny area?

If you are in Western New York (the hills of Allegany County), then Hoyt's Photography in Greenwood. He does really nice work.
I went to school for graphic design and photo so i would take the pics myself, except i am in the wedding. we do not have alot of money for this that is why i would like to find someone who will take the pics only. and then i will do the cropping and putting together of albums
Is there someone else that could use your camera and take the pictures. Honestly I think wedding photographers are ridiculously expensive. I have been to take your own photos and photographer taken photos and I think the take your own photos were nicer and gee it saves so much money. I would get some disposables also to have at the reception.

Hope + Cory: Adamson House Intimate Wedding, Malibu Wedding ...
The end of our big wedding weekend in California was so sweet and fun. Hope and Cory are both pilots in the army; with Hope home from Iraq on R&R, Cory flew down from his station in Alaska to marry his beautiful bride. After spending all weekend with them, we can truly say that we were honored to photograph our friends at their small, intimate wedding overlooking the Malibu beach at the Adamson House. We’ll also thank them for the top-notch dinner at Charlie’s afterward!
We started with their portrait session since some heavy, dark clouds were rolling in quickly!
