I have a professional photo book from our wedding and the pages are stuck together! Is there any way to get them apart without ruining them?
The book has the pictures on the actual pages of the book, they are not individual pictures attached to the pages for clearification.
Try a hair dryer. Then gently pull them apart as they warm.

You need a subscription to either "Rangefinder" or "Professional Photographer" magazines. Subscriptions are free to pro photographers. There are plenty of ads for what you are seeking. Be aware, that just sticking photos in some type of pocket album, no matter how "upscale" the album is, is now pretty much a thing of the past. Most modern brides today want a "digital album". This may be what you mean anyway, as these are sometimes called "coffee table books". The "digital album" does not consist of individual photos, but rather each page is an elegant design of photos created in computer software. If you are good at photoshop and have the time, the pages can be designed there. But in most cases, it is done with software specificially designed for this purpose. There are also many places that will do all the design work for you, and even print the album. Of course, the more you have done, the more the cost. So that translates to less profit and / or more you have to charge the client.
You can purchase high quality albums that allow you to mount photos in a "flush mount" fashion yourself. You create the designs, have them printed in sizes such as 10 x 10 or 12 x 12, then mount the photos to the pages. The Premira albums are of this type. You can purchase these, and many other albums here:

But I really suggest you study and research the HUGE amount of post wedding vendor services available.

Okay so my wedding photographer stiffed me.. I am not getting an album which is a LONG story. So in the mean time I want to get an album somewhat professional looking. I know of LuLu.com, Shutterfly, and CVS/Walgreens, and so on. I am looking to make a hard cover photo book they all offer this but I can't seem to find a place that offers hard pages as well as the hard cover...
Anyone with any help would be very much appreciated!!
Thanks,
Courtney
Mpix makes a hard cover book with 100 pound coverstock pages. This stock is suitable for use as a note card and it is quite stiff. It's about as stiff as a playing card, for instance.

I hired a professional photographer for my wedding. I ended up with a little over 300 shots. Paid about $1400 total. I am getting a $200 credit toward prints. Plus a DVD with a release form allowing me to print my own additional pictures elsewhere.
The prices from the professional are as follows:
4x6 - $10
5x7 - $15
8x10 - $20
11x14 - $30
12x18 - $45
They are running a 2 for 1 special in about a week, so I am holding off for that.
If I take my DVD elsewhere, the costs are going to be considerable cheaper.
So here is my question. Do I use the credits to buy all the big size prints that I might want for frames? And then do all the 4x6 elsewhere?
Or do I have them create a memory book instead with that money? The books are over $200.
I am just not sure which way to go with this. My guess is that the pro prints will be on better paper and probably better spent on the bigger ones that I would frame rather than on 4x6 prints that will be in a photo album.
I'd love to hear what others have done... or wish they had done...
I would definitely use the credit towards a memory book. In retrospect, that's probably the most costly portion of the photography. I just got married and can't wait until I get my photo CD so that I can get them printed elsewhere. Besides, $10 for a 4x6 is expensive. It costs less than $0.25 at Target. People always see dollar signs as soon as you say wedding. Haven't you spent enough? Why not have the photographer do something that you can't do yourself which is creating a photo book? Good luck!
P.S. For the REALLY important ones that you want to put on your mantel you should just purchase 2 or three of the 8 x 10s. Or try going to Walgreens or CVS ask telling them what kind of paper you'd like to have them printed on.
Using Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 I am creating a very professional-looking photo album from photos from my wedding. To make sure I design it correctly, I need to get in contact with a local printer to print and bind the photos into a book.
My question is how do I find a place that will do this? Where do Wedding Photographers go to have books made from the photos they take?
I want our book to be large (i.e. 12x12) and have the fold-flat pages, not like your typical binding like you would find on a hard-cover novel-style book.
A quick note: I am NOT looking for an online publishing company like www.mypublisher.com or www.photoworks.com or www.shutterfly.com or www.kodakgaller.com or others UNLESS they offer fold-flat pages (this might not be the correct term for that binding style) so please don't waste your time recommending these sites unless you know of one that does that style of binding. All the ones that I have listed so far do NOT have that style of binding.
Thanks!
Do you have a Staples or Kinkos in your area? I know that ours will do things of that nature...
try any other "office printing" type of establishment...they do a lot of document/photo work. Also maybe check w/a photography studio and see if they can give you some advice as to what may be available in your area...

There was no such thing as professional wedding photography in the ...
How is it that there are so many people offering professional wedding photography these days yet in the days of old the pictures were rubbish. I don’t understand why it has become so popular to go buy extremely expensive photography equipment and start doing people weddings and events for them. The digital age really seems to have gotten a grip of the world. Anyway… just be careful if you are looking to book a photographer and make sure they have a good pedigree and background. If possible take somebody’s recommendation. If you are reading this then perhaps take mine and look for Destiny photography. Great wedding photos.
