2 questions for you, define "good" and define "affordable." Where in Utah are you looking, you're going to find TONS (and I mean that literally) in Salt Lake, Davis and Utah counties, as well as quite a few up around Logan, Ogden, etc. Pretty much any town with an LDS temple in Utah (and that's a bunch) will have a photographer who does weddings. Start looking in the yellow pages, from there you can find websites and that will give you a good place to narrow it down. From checking out websites you should get a sense of the photographer's style, and hopefully a decent idea of how much they charge.
Good luck

my fiance and i live in utah valley, utah. we're getting married in the salt lake temple, since we are LDS (mormons). what wedding photographers are available for a low price? we want a really urban, rugged look for our pictures. any ideas?
I would strongly suggest you look on craigslist, search for photographer, or post an ad listing the specifics of what you are looking for.

Senior Portrait Photography – Heidi Hawkins
Yesterday we photographed Heidi Hawkins who drove 3 hours from Evanston, Wyoming to have us photograph her senior portraits. Heidi wanted our organic session style at one of our favorite locations in South Jordan. As I was packing up the car, a huge rain storm came in and we thought it might spoil the shoot.
I guess if there is one thing you can count on with Utah weather, it is that it is very unpredictable and usually our storms don’t last too long. So we packed up anyway and headed out into the storm hoping for the best. Once we got to the location the rain stopped and while the sun was scarce, we were able to pull off some amazing photos with the help of our portable sun that we like to bring out on cloudy days.
(For the geeks) Our portable sun is essentially an extra flash unit that we mount to a large soft box. We control the flash by mounting a transmitter unit (made by radio poppers ) to our on-camera flash and then hooking a radio receiving unit to an additional flash that my assistant holds. The coolest part of this system is that I can adjust the power of the off camera flash right from the flash unit on my camera. As you can see in the photos, this extra off-camera light adds more depth to the photos and provides a much more natural and interesting lighting on the subject.
