Wedding Photo Guestbook

I have a coupon for a free Photo-book from Shutterfly. My fiance and I would like to make a Photo-Guestbook for our wedding using many of our engagement pictures.

Our concern is what type of pen to use that a) would not smudge, b) would dry quickly to not transfer ink to facing photo page, and c) would not bleed through the paper. Any suggestions?

Try a pen used for scrapbooking. They are photo safe and will not yellow. If you don't want to buy off the internet, try your local art supply store or scrapbooking store. They should have sales people who know their products and know which pens will not smudge.

Hi, I found a place online that makes photo guestbooks for weddings, but I need to find a place I can go to in person. What kinds of places makes these? For example, Walmart, Target, Longs Drugs, CVS Pharmacy photo lab, Walgreens, etc.. etc..??
Adrianne - I am getting married in 29 days and need the book ASAP. I was hoping I could get it done faster if I went somewhere in person. I'm just looking for my fastest options.

Anywhere with a photo developing department can probably help you with this. I go to Target for my photos, and I know photo books area available there. I would think any full-service photo lab could do it, but most of them do outsource the work and don't actually create them on-site.

Thing is, I don't have a huge amount of confidence that the staff there knows a lot about the products - just that they're available for sale. I'm thinking you'll get a lot more information and help by using a website like Shutterfly, Kodak Gallery, Snapfish, etc.

I'm just curious why you're trying to find a place vs. utilizing an online service? Is it turnaround time? Shipping costs?

Edit: Well, I've only used Shutterfly before (which, BTW - 20% off photo books this week) but I don't think I ever waited more than a week or 10 days for my book with standard shipping. I'm not sure which online site you were thinking of ordering from, but with 29 days to go, I think you have more than enough time.

I had one of those signature mats as my wedding guestbook, but I now dislike the engagement photo mounted in the mat and want to replace it with a wedding photo. I do not speak to my wedding photographer, so I’m not sure how to do this.

Could a frame shop change the photo for me? Any other suggestions on how to change the pictures would be appreciated. Thanks!

Matted pieces are easily replaced.

If your good with your hands, you can do it.

If our not, and want a good look to the frame, take it to your local craft/frame store.

I am creating a photo book to be used for our wedding guest book-- We would like our guests to sign the pages wherever they wish, kind of like a year book. Does anyone have any suggestions on wording for the introduction page to the book?

Has anyone ever purchased a personalized guest book picture frame as your guest book or a digital photo guest book?
I seen the them both here at
Yolandas's Wedding Favors they beat prices so the price won't be a problem... but I'm not sure what to choose...What would you choose the guest book frame or the digital photo guestbook

My sister in law had the frame at her wedding and it now is sitting in our garage because they don't have room in their garage (and obviously don't want to hang it in their house). We have the frame option included with our engagement session through our photographer but we are going to purchase the Polaroid guest book option. It's all about personal preference and I know that hanging a signed photo isn't our thing. Do you think you will hang your frame up or keep it in a closet? Not to mention, with the signature guest book you can get some good pics of your guests all dressed up for your big day! Wow, the site you provided is cheaper than anything I've found for the book option...thanks for adding that into the question!
