Wedding Photographer Gallery

Hi, I am a web designer and I am starting a small business for weddings. After your wedding photographer takes pictures I am able to create your site , you choose domain name. And I will take care of registration, web hosting + design. I have 12 styles. And would like to know what you think, please help me to improve it by your feedback , do you like it ? and why? or you do not like it ? and why? I don't think this is any different from many, many other web sites offering the same features and more. I didn't see a way to add comments or change the name of the pictures. And the writing on the web site is not good; there are too many errors to inspire confidence.

Can someone tellme what they think of our photos? I was really happy with them. We are towards the bottom of the gallery. Do we look happy??



Erik did my wedding, and oh my gosh!! He was prompt. Thats so important to us. Plus he was fun, and relaxed. He did a great thing. My new husband and I love the photos. Loved the price even more. $1395 is such a great price!!!! Visit his website see our photos. We look so in love!! We loved our photos so much that we ordered lots of extras to send to our friends and family as thank you photos for attending our wedding. For the price he is asking I think he is good. If that is your budget for photography I think you should book him. You won't find better at that price!

We got married September 6th. It was 10,000!!! for our photographer, Hes a fancy schmancy chicago photographer...included in this price is a book of 30 prints and 2 10X14 larger prints..unframed i later find out! This equals more costs! We got access to our online gallery in january! and a month or more later we got the proofs in the mail. I chose the 32 pics i wanted and he told us there were "some extra costs" involved in our album, which i dont understand how?? i chose the amount on the contract but whatever. So NOW hes telling me that we also have to pay to ship the pictures to us! Has anyone else had to pay these extras???? and did it take that long to get access to your pictures? He said we will have our album in another month hopefully, in total thats 9 months until we get our wedding pics.....Also..we have very few pictures of the elderly members of our family, he took A LOT of pictures of the young ladies at my wedding whom my guys friends brought as guests.. hes a great candid photographer but the set up group shots are really bad!

I hate the frustration you're experiencing. I'm a wedding photographer and I view my client's overall experience as even more important than great pictures.

You'll need to review your contract, it's legally binding, but people are more important than contracts. It sounds like there's been a real failure to communicate.

If it is in your contract you are still justified in airing these frustrations with him. If it is not you should REALLY address these issues with him. Be civil but firm and handle this by phone if you can. Email has a tendency to make matters worst.

There's a lot of issues your question raises that you best address with him.

Bottom line: he needs to work with you a lot better and you need to communicate that with him. There is a level of dissatisfaction the photographer needs to hear, understand and attempt to fix. These extra fees are a good place to start.

Ask yourself what is it that will make you feel better about all of this? Address these problems with your photographer. If you are not satisfied with his solutions then let him know you'll communicate your dissatisfaction about his business on the theknot.com, weddingbee, Better Business Bureau, and any and every wedding forum out there. That kind of stuff scares a photographer.

Her website is at the top do you think her pictures are professional enough?

I would hire her based on her portraits gallery. They are so unique--not your everyday, stand at attention in front of a washed out screen portraits, but people sitting in real settings and looking like they are comfortable there.

Her style is photojournalistic, which is hugely popular. I think she's really good, and very reasonably priced. I just looked the brochure for a girl in Chicago who is a full time videographer for a local news station, and does wedding photography on the side. Her cheapest package didn't include any prints or an engagement session, and she wanted $3,500. Her next highest was more than I paid for my entire reception, and her most expensive was more than I paid for my entire wedding.

Just make sure you know what she charges for her prints. Just because she's including the album doesn't mean you're getting any prints to go in them. If she charges $50 for a 5x7, then you might want to see what else is out there.
