Wedding photographer needed - Sydney?

Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone knows an amateur photographer in Sydney willing to do my wedding for a small fee...

Any help would be appreciated

I would check out local colleges. Talk to a prof in the photo dept. He probably could recommend some students with great talent who would work cheap, to get experience.

I have a couple but I don't have any personal experience with them...hope it helps!

Sydney Photographer : Help, what do I ask to make sure my wedding photos are great!?

Hi there.

I live in Sydney and I am getting married next year. I am at the stage in my wedding planning where I am looking for a photographer. I have narrowed my list down to a few and am meeting with them in the next 2 weeks. Is there anything anyone can recommend I ask them to try and make the decision easier and to make sure I get the best photos possible? Anything to watch out for? Any info would be great and much appreciated. Thanks so much for your time.

Ask to see an album of an entire wedding they have photographed, not just the best shots.

Choose the photos you like and the style you like (eg, candid, photo journalistic, emphasis on natural lighting, commercial style etc) Ask if they can do that style.

Ask who the photographer was for the photos from the album that you liked. Ask if you hired them would you have that particular photographer on the day (Get it in writing if you absolutely want them)

Ask prices and what is included. Get it in writing.

Make sure you get the negatives/digital copy in high quality. If you don't get the negatives you are being ripped off, no questions. Imagine having to order photos through them 10 years down the track, each being at least more than double what you would pay to have them done yourself.

Tell them what you are willing to pay, what you want that to include and don't be afraid to walk away if you don't get it. Let them know you have done other interviews with photographers willing to do what you want (if it is true). Are they willing to be competetive?

Make sure you get along with the photographer. If you are not meeting the one who will shoot your wedding I suggest you do meet them before you sign anythign as the photographer will be following you around for at least half of your day.
