What type of battery do I need for my Yashica Electro 35 GN camera?

I just purchased a Yashica Electro 35 GN camera and I need to purchase a battery for it. Does anyone know which one I need to buy?

From Photoethnographers.com

"Electros take one 5.6v PX32 battery, unfortunately these have been discontinued. Fortunately, you can use a 6v PX28A alkaline battery which is readily available at any Walgreens or Radio Shack. You need to make a small adaptor for it which consists of: a small piece of thin cardboard, a 25ยข spring from a hardware store, and a piece of tinfoil. More details are at Matt Denton's page. The smaller PX28As last forever, I've had mine in there for over a year and it's still ticking. The Electros all have a built in battery check feature which is very handy. Push the "Bat. Check" button on the back, if the green light lights, you're good"

Have you ever used a Yashica Electro 35?

What were your experiences? Can you tell me some things about the camera? I am used to Nikon SLR/DSLR. The Yashica are so cheap, I am thinking about trying one out.

IT has a battery that is hard to find.. that is one of the reasons it is cheep.
Most ppl have to make up a battery to make them work now. Just keep it in mind.

Anyone know where I can get film and a battery for a Yashica Electro 35 camera?

It's a pretty old camera and I'm pretty sure I have to get an adapter for the battery, but where? I also have a Flickr with some pictures taken with a digital. Feel free to look. http://www.flickr.com/photos/amberszabop hotography/

Anyone know about Yashica Electro 35 GSN? Can it work without battery and what kind of battery is needed?

the Yashica Electro 35 GSN was introduced in 1973 based on earlier versions of the same basic camera. It is a top end rangefinder for its day, with 45mm f1.7 lens. It won't work without a battery, because it uses a step-less electronic shutter.

The original battery is no longer available, but there are ways of adapting current batteries to fit. The one that I am using in my 35GSN is from the Yashica Guy (see link below). It works like a charm, but it is simple, so I didn't expect that it woudl give any problems.
