What type of battery do I need for my Yashica Electro 35 GN camera?

I just purchased a Yashica Electro 35 GN camera and I need to purchase a battery for it. Does anyone know which one I need to buy?

From Photoethnographers.com

"Electros take one 5.6v PX32 battery, unfortunately these have been discontinued. Fortunately, you can use a 6v PX28A alkaline battery which is readily available at any Walgreens or Radio Shack. You need to make a small adaptor for it which consists of: a small piece of thin cardboard, a 25ยข spring from a hardware store, and a piece of tinfoil. More details are at Matt Denton's page. The smaller PX28As last forever, I've had mine in there for over a year and it's still ticking. The Electros all have a built in battery check feature which is very handy. Push the "Bat. Check" button on the back, if the green light lights, you're good"

Overall which 35mm camera is better,a Pentax Spotmatic or a Yashica TL Electro-X?

Overall which 35mm camera is better,a Pentax Spotmatic or a Yashica TL Electro-X? why and what are the pros and cons about them that the other one has?
its just a Spotmatic, the first one in the series of Spotmatics

I don't know where sam was in 1967 when this camera came out. I bought a Pentax SV (Honeywell model HV) a predecessor to the Spotmatic in 1967 while in Vietnam. Yashica was a big seller to the soldiers in Vietnam and this included all of the TLRs, the SLRs and the Rangefinder cameras.

Mechanically, neither is the best. Pentax ended up with the best name, but the lenses for the Yashica SLRs at that time were screwmount like the Pentax, so the lenses are interchangable.

I loved my SV Pentax and wish I still had it. Had there been a Yashica in the base exchange when I purchased it, I don't know which I would have bought - they are both excellent if they are fully working today.

It would make little difference on the end photograph, no one would know.

Have you ever used a Yashica Electro 35?

What were your experiences? Can you tell me some things about the camera? I am used to Nikon SLR/DSLR. The Yashica are so cheap, I am thinking about trying one out.

IT has a battery that is hard to find.. that is one of the reasons it is cheep.
Most ppl have to make up a battery to make them work now. Just keep it in mind.

Anyone know where I can get film and a battery for a Yashica Electro 35 camera?

It's a pretty old camera and I'm pretty sure I have to get an adapter for the battery, but where? I also have a Flickr with some pictures taken with a digital. Feel free to look. http://www.flickr.com/photos/amberszabop hotography/

Is the Yashica TL Electro X a nice piece for my collection?

Well, It's a very modest collection that I started almost by accident... but love to buy and use old SLR's and 35 mm cameras, most of them are Canon and Nikon, a Pentax and an Olympus... but I'm not sure about purchasing this Yashica model, since I'd like to put a film on it a see what results! Another point is it's price of $45 that seems to me a little expensive... or is it a bargain?
Any comment will be highly appreciated.

That's a bit pricey. Many sell for under $20 on eBay.
