I have a Yashica Zoom lens (ML Zoom 35-105mm 1:3.5-4.5) and a Carl Zeiss Planar (1.7/50) lens. Will either (or both) of these lenses be compatible with any DSLR model?
my manual camera, where these lenses fit, is a Contax accepting large diameter Contax/Yashica Mounts
No, and if they did they will NOT have any auto features..
Yashica 635 Twin Lens Reflex Camera. Showing the loading of 120 Roll film and 35mm film into a Yashica 635 Twin Lens Reflex Camera.
The film is a kodak 100 TMAX but it is a 120 film, well i use this film with my holga.
Film is film. As long as you use the right size for the camera (35mm, 120, 110, etc) then it will work. A Yashica D Twin Lens Reflex camera uses 120 film...so you can use ANY 120 size film.
The only thing you might need to be careful about is to not use a film that has too high of an ISO rating. The ISO rating means the film's light sensitivity. (Sometimes it's also called the "film speed.") For example, if you use a 400 ISO film in a camera that has shutter speeds that only go up to 200 and the aperture only goes down to f/16, then you might overexpose the film if you take pictures outside in bright sunlight.
100 T-MAX is a 100 ISO film, which would be fine in your camera, since it has manual exposure control.
Generally, I never use film that has a higher ISO than the fastest shutter speed on my camera. Of course, I mostly take pictures outdoors in sunlight (landscape photos mostly). So for example, if I'm using a camera with shutter speeds that go up to 1/400, then the highest ISO film I would prefer to use would be 400.
If you know you're going to be taking pictures in low light...indoors, at night, etc, then you can use higher ISO (higher "speed") films. Of if you are using a camera that has higher shutter speeds available, then you can use a higher ISO film.
I hope that didn't confuse you. If you want more information about that, just look up what's called the "Sunny 16 Rule." It's a guineline for using manual exposure outdoors.

With this adapter, you can use your Contax / Yashica c/y Lens in Micro 4/3 cameras such as Panasonic GF1 GH1 G1 G2 G10, Olympus E-P1 E-P2 E-P1L
To us Micro 4/3 camera with C/Y lens, pleas set"Shooting without lens" in camera menu, set camera shooting mode to A or M, use manual focus and shoot.
where is the location here in philippines? and if u estimate how much is it?
If it's still under warranty, your best bet is to go with it to the place you bought it from and find out where you can get it serviced.
However, I am 99.5% sure that your camera's warranty has expired, because Kyocera (who owns the Yashica brand) has stopped making cameras back in 2005.
That would make repair of your camera not only almost impossible, but also quite expensive.
Bottom line - it's best if you just bought a new one.
I've gotten the back open - now what?
Also, I'm confused about how to set the ISO. I have found the ASA knob, but to set it for 100 ISO film, for example, would I make sure the 100 on the knob is facing up?
Lastly, am I correct in assuming that the X/M switch isn't important if I'm not using a flash?
Thank you!

Actually it is a Zeiss 300 lens. Does that matter? Thanks for your answers.
Peace
Pookie is right. Your only slr choices would be the discontinued Yashica or discontinued Contax 35mm SLR's.

Unless you have a large number of high quality Yashica lenses (and to be honest, they were never that great) you'd be better served by starting with another 35mm system like Canon, Nikon, or Pentax who have huge numbers of heritage lenses available. There are 35mm bodies, both used and new for each system available.
Addend: Well, now that we know it's a Zeiss lens, it's worth investigating further. I found a Contax/Yashica adaptor that will let you use the lens (manual focus and no metering) on any current Canon EOS camera, 35mm or digital. There are also adaptors here for connecting the Contax mount lenses to Panasonic or Olympus DSLR's.
